When should I give my DD Highschool Muscial?

I bought Highschool Musical on DVD and also the soundtrack on CD for my DD. When do you think I should give it to her?

Should I give it to her Tuesday as a last day of school present? Or should I wait for her birthday which is in the middle of July?

I'm undecided on what to do

I voted for "end of school present". She's going to love you. We celebrated my niece's birthday last weekend & I told my dad to give it to her. As she unwrapped it, she saw what it was, jumped up & ran over to give him a big hug!
I told him he would be her favorite person after giving her that gift.

Last day of school I gave it to Stacey the day it came out, I couldn't wait until the last day which is June 15th. By the way Stacey is getting braces for her last day

If I didn't have my 7yr old DD or Radio Disney, I wouldn't know what it is either It's a movie, from what I gather, kinda like a modern day Grease. It was played on the Disney Channel earlier this year and it just came out on DVD. The music from the movie is really good, and I'm thinking about buying the soundtrack for myself

Well, I see your decision is made, but I vote for wait until the birthday. Since when is the last day of school a present giving holiday? I think we give our kids way too much stuff, and it is "occasions" like this that set them up for all kinds of expectations. I don't think that is a good thing we do to our kids.

Sounds like you've already made your decision but I also said give it to her for the last day of school. My daughter has this and loves it. Since school has gotten out it seems when she has the chance she is either watching the dvd or listening to the music. I'm so glad I enjoy the music because I've heard it quite a bit since school has gotten out. Great gift for a young girl!

I voted for end of school too - I gave the DVD to my DD for the last day of school too (May 24 here) She LOVES it!! It really is a cute movie that parents and kids can watch together.
