when should I book?

I don't usually get to plan this far in advance ......may go crazy soon. When should I book for our June trip? I was thinking April........too late too soon? any advice? Hate to go too early and miss a deal , don't want to wait too long and not get my first choice of hotel! TIA

Closer you get to June for *any* vacation, the worse the availability is going to be. If I were going in June I'd be booking around, hmm, the other month.

(so says the woman who hasn't yet finalized her plans for DLR immediately after Mem Day... )

LOL, Glad to see I'm not the only one! I'm getting nervous though, when I look at the flight I booked I see we are the ONLY ones on it as of now. Doesn't EVERYONE book 9 months in advance I am glad I booked the flight though b/c the prices have gone up.

I'd say if there is a hotel you have your heart set on, go ahead and book. You can always cancel and rebook if a deal comes out right?

I just made reservations for my trips in October and November! The sooner you book the better chance of getting a good rate at the hotel. I'd say, call today!!!

We're going in June as well and I am in the process of booking things. So far the airfare hasn't budged but there are only two flights under $300 so I am thinking I better book it soon.

I've been checking the hotel prices/availability and some of the prices have gone up. I would say book sooner rather than later!

IMO, I'd book now. I've had issues before with wanting a certain hotel somewhere, waiting too long, and the choices being much more limited. You could also get seats closer up to the front (my preference) for your flight. I guess it depends on your needs and such, but we book as soon as we're sure of dates and what we want.

I am going in April and I have already booked our trip. I made the mistake of waiting last time and ended up not getting the hotel we wanted. Conventions can sweep in at any time and book up everything or raise the prices so better to be safe than sorry!

I am also going in june for 2 weeks and we booked it january 6. We almost didnt find a return flight!!

Book now. Summer months can fill up fast. So long as you're not buying a package and are doing it on your own, you can always cancel a reservation if better rates come up. We just booked our hotel for our late Aug trip last month.
