When should I book?

I think we have finally decided to visit the Magic in August 2009! When do you guys reckon the best time to book is? We have decided on Pop Century, preferably flying direct from Manchester. I can't decide whether to book a package as soon as the brochures are released, or book accomodation only with Disnet direct and then play the waiting game for cheap flights. What have you all done in the past? Our party consists of 3 adults and 1 child (9), so a FREE child place would save us a fortune too!!!

So many questions to ask, but thankfully plenty of planning time !!!

cheap flights in August rarely happen unless you are willing to take a gamble, fly indirect, or drive from Miami.

if this is your 1st trip, you might be better with a package deal from virgin or travel city direct for peace of mind.

you very rarely get free kids to USA but having said that we only paid £149 on our last trip for 1 of ours. what you need to factor in are the theme park tickets which can really bump up the cost of the holiday.

How about waiting to see if free dining is offered again, it saves loads of money, I think it's normally available if you book about August time for the following year
