When should I book our room?

DH, DS and I are going to WDW for the first time in June. When should I make my choice for hotels (CR or POFQ) and book our room?
I read a board where someone was having trouble booking a room for May and now I am nervous!!

If I were you I would think about making a reservation now. June is popular and this way you could relax about having a room at WDW. You could always keep an eye on discount rates that could lower your costs between now and then.

The earlier you book, the better. If you happen to come across a code, you can call up and apply it to your reservation rate. I took my family down last June - I booked the trip in January and applied my discount code in April.

Our favorite resort is POFQ! How old is your DS? My sons are 2, 7 and 12 and absolutely love POFQ - the pool is their favorite pool because of the dragon slide! CR is nice but too big!! The pool is nice there too.

Thanks for the ideas. If I book now how close to June can I cancell?

DS will be 5 when we go and he loves trains. That is one reason we are considering CR. That and because it is so close to MK.

Any other ideas?
