When planning How do you decide which park you are going to visit each day ?

I always decide based on which days have extra magic hours: if I will be able to come during EMH I go that day and if I don’t have EMH I avoid that park. I do go based on park hours but don’t always do this if there is a reason for extra park hours that affects crowds. For example, in 2013, we went to Epcot a day it was open until 10 instead of 9. We learned the hard way the reason for that was because of the Food and Wine Festival and it was way more crowded. The most important thing is to know which days you’re going to which parks by 30 or 60 days (depending on if you’re staying on site) and stick to that plan.

I'm a little confused on the question, but I will try to answer.

You should have a plan on what days you want to visit each park BEFORE you book FPs. It's just easier that way. Here's my plan as an example:

Monday--HS
Tuesday--MK
Wednesday--MK
Thursday--AK
Friday--HS
Saturday--AK

I put AK near the end, because Flight of Passage is the number one priority FP for us. I also put the 2nd HS day near the end because we want Slinky. It's easier to get those 2 FPs later in the trip because of all the people booking before you.

So we will reach there on Saturday nov 23rd
So Sunday - MK
Monday - AK
Tuesday - HS
Wednesday - MK

Is this enough? With little kids I think they will have more fun at MK and AK and maybe HS

I need to research more.
So when I do FP I need to maybe do the 7 dwarfs FP for Wednesday instead on the Sunday. Is this right?

I think it's enough and yes, plan for 7D on Wednesday.

I usually...
Avoid EMH
Put AK toward the end but f the trip (to secure FOP FP+)
Try to visit a park early in the morning if there was a late night event the night before

I keep it simple.

First I just make sure we plan enough time in each park to have fun. Second I look for morning EMH. That’s pretty much it.

Should add that we always have park hoppers so the plan is just to start in a certain park and improvise from there.

I’ve never used a crowd calendar for planning and don’t really care which order we do things.

I gather a bunch of information but then just make loose plans based on whatever I feel like. Then as more information becomes available (events are announced, SWGE opens up experience reservations, I'm unable to get the FP+ I planned on, whatever) I just rework it until it works again. Then when I actually get there I throw at least half my plans right out the window and do whatever I feel like doing anyway.

That last bit is actually something I've leaned into when planning my trip for this coming January. I know that the later something is in the trip, the more I'll dislike feeling locked into it. I'm generally fairly open to doing prescheduled things in the first half of the trip, but the longer the trip goes on the more I will want the freedom to improvise. So I've just accepted that about myself and I'm loading my ADRs as close to the start of the trip as I can, knowing that I can and will play ADR roulette on MDE during the trip if I decide I want more table service experiences. So my first day is locked in pretty tight, and if they ever open up times for Wild Africa Trek I'll lock that in for my second park day. After that? I dunno. I'll do a loose and arbitrary schedule when I set up my FP+, with DHS somewhere toward the end so I can try to get Slinky. I do all my FP+ for the morning, too, so a.) I can get more throughout the day and b.) I can park hop if I want to.

I neither aim for nor avoid EMH as an unbending rule. Sometimes I take advantage of it, sometimes I do not. If it's morning EMH I do plan to hop away to another park afterward. I don't see park hopping as necessarily dictating that you have to move at breakneck speed; it's just a way to make dining plans more flexible and give me the freedom to move on if one of the parks is too crowded or if I'm just not feeling it.

Unpopular way to do it here on the boards but we don't plan. I book the resort sometimes as close as a month out. We tend to do split stays with at least the night we arrive and possibly one other night at a value or moderate resort then move over to an Epcot resort. We drive down but we park the car and don't use it again until we switch resorts or leave. We don't book any FPs or ADRs in advance unless we want to do tea at the GF, that seems to be hard to get. If we decide we want to do a special high ticket tour or something, I'll usually book that when we know we are going. When we are staying at a value or moderate resort, we try to get AK and MK done during that time since we can walk to Epcot and HS from the resort when we switch. Usually we just get up when we want, if it's real early we go have breakfast then just hop on the first bus to arrive. While on the bus, I look at what FPs are available and if there is one we want close to the time we are getting to the park, I'll book it, otherwise we just wander around and stand in line if we want to ride something. I never book more than 1 FP out and it's never more than a hour away because we just don't like to be tied down. Normally when we are walking around in the afternoon, I'll hop on the app. and find somewhere to eat that night. This works for us because we are two adults so times to eat don't matter, we always have PHs so which park doesn't matter and we aren't real ride centric. If we ride a ride, great, if we don't get to ride one, it doesn't really bother us. Having PHs gives us the freedom to move to another park if it's too crowded where we are or we just want something different. I don't think we have ever not hopped between parks in over 35 years of going.
