When parks extend their hours - question

I know for October that the calendar out now may not be the final park hours. Sometimes hours are extended.

My question - is it safe to assume if hours change, that parks will just stay open later? Or is it ever the case the park also opens earlier?

thanks!

I'd say you're pretty safe in your assumption. Disney typically release conservative operating hours and add to them as they get a clearer indication of anticipated crowd levels.

Thanks! I'm happy that the hours open at 9am most of my trip (except my EMH mornings), I can sleep in until 7:00. :rotfl:

I didn't think the parks would open earlier, but you never know!

The parks don't open earlier than 9 in October except for morning EMH. I think around Christmas and Easter are the only times you're going to see a regular opening time of earlier than 9.

I can't speak for your particular trip's time, but in very early December of our first trip they did indeed increase the hours by changing the opeining time. It was our MK day early early in the trip, and we didn't know until we walked up for our supposed-to-be-before-opening CP ADR that the whole park was already open. :headache:

So definitely pay attention, because that sort of change can really mess with your day.

Actually, in 2010, the MK opened at 8AM a few times in October. However, this was not added until like the week before. The reason I remember it so clearly was because I had scheduled the Keys to the Kingdom tour before the park should have been opened only to have it change. It was weekend days where this happened. Saturdays in particular.
