May I point out the elephant in the room the younger sibling is MAKING THE SAME SIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you want to show that some white supremacists use that symbol, however I don't believe anyone here has said otherwise. You keep posting pictures but you don't address the fact that the younger child in the photograph that is the subject of this story is making the exact same hand gesture that the Gru character is.
You response to that post by the pp was to post a picture of a man that has nothing to do with that family's vacation.
Do you think that boy is also a white supremacist, afterall you keep posting photos of them.
Or are you posting photos as a way to avoid answering a question that you have come up with on your own instead of parroting some agenda driven talking point you saw on social media?

Are you joking? THE TODDLER is not making that sign intentionally and probally has little control over its hands. If you are old enough to grow a beard, where is the rules that are handed out at the beginning of adulthood that states this is now something different? This incident is the first I'd ever heard of that. I've been flashed that on Facebook in gifs and videos for years, by adults as it's a chuckle from our childhood. Had I been watching the game and reporter on TV with my friends, we all would have exclaimed, "Ah, he got me" at this gesture.

You can't just make things up, then apply it to everyone in the world. You can't tell me after learning what that gesture has been for the past 40 years at aleast that this kid gave a white supremacy symbol on national television.

Why don't we just come out and incarcerate all white people for being racist and white supremacists already. It's what the world wants, lets make it happen. Or maybe not every single thing in life is about racism, really, virtually none of life is about racism.

Draw a swastika (previously a symbol of good luck) and see how that goes over with people.

I don't really think anyone was fired... I think they just said someone was. How do we know who the actor was playing Gru? How did Universal know - five months later? I'm sure they have several actors who play that character. Did they go off the timestamp of the camera because that could be set inaccurately based on time zone, etc. Did the actor come out and say who he was and apologize?

Just seems like something that made the news to get people riled.

However, all I read in the article is that the person doesn't work there, but the headlines all say "fired." So I am confused about if the person had already quit or been fired for some other reason.

I'm sure records of employee roles are kept, at least for a year. If the family was able to pinpoint exactly when the incident occurred, Universal should be able identify the culprit.

As for Universal firing him, maybe or maybe not. They could just be saying they did to placate the complainer.

It's probably a good idea for characters to refrain from making any gesture when posing for photos.

You'd need to be living under a rock if you haven't heard that the OK gesture in a certain position has been co-opted by certain groups in the past couple of years, even if it started as a hoax or prank.

(P.S. I have a photo of myself with a Minion and one of the three girls from several years ago. I should check to see if any are making any nasty gestures.)

Yeah, it;s not exactly rocket science to look back into the system to see the date of the reservation and the work schedule for that day. It's not like this is the 70s and they're going through a stack of time sheets.
