What dates in Oct,Nov.,Dec. should we try NOT to go to WDW.We've been there many times at different times of the year, and I know that really one can never really be sure when if ever the parks are not going to be packed. We've been there the week before Thanksgivging and the first week in Oct. once (many times during other times of the year)and this year we're working on a trip for this year,so any help would be great.I know that its busy during Thanksgiving,Christmas,Pop Warner,so,what about the other days in these months? We usually stay on the monorail because of some health reason,(very easy to get back to the room) and I was told that value season starts Nov.27th,we have AAA and sometimes do packages (did the fairytale package and the 7for 4)sometimes we get AP rates (would need to get a new AP) but we've used the codes the most, but this year they do not seem to be as many as years before. These new tickets are another matter also,as are the packages. Before it was very easy to figure out, this year, not so easy. Also this year will be our first year taking a 4 year old.My children are grown and if they all go,I'll need two rooms. So any help would be great. Thanks,

We went in Dec a couple of yrs ago, and were there during Pop Warner (around the second week). We were at POR and many teams were staying there. We won't do that again - too many crowds in the food court and outside in the common areas. Other than that, it was a great time to be there. Weather was good (except for an unusually rainy period), crowds were small, and the decorations in the resorts & parks were gorgeous. Went to MVMCP and loved it.

I'd try for any other time in early December to take advantage of the holiday happenings without the Christmas vacation crowds.

Stay away from any dates that involve a holiday period. Also Jersey Week was a nightmare for us on our visit and that is sometime in November. October has become more popular but I think it is still one of the best months to visit as the weather is very nice and the crowds are not bad at all. Lots of folks from overseas seem to visit in October so you can meet some interesting people then.

It is, of course, hurricane season but we have always been lucky and the folks that were there during the last hurricane season all had great stories to tell so I wouldn't let it scare you away.

We had great luck the first week in December with low crowds and nice weather but it can be a bit chilly if warm weather is a must.

The Pop Warners were there in December during our last visit and, quite honestly, the kids were great. I guess it just depends which resort you stay at and a lot of luck.

The second weekend in November is ABC's Super Soap Weekend....If you aren't a soap fan....I wouldn't recommend going at this time...it's CRAZY!!!

We always went in Oct & Nov because the crowds were small and weather was nice. The only advice I would have for you is stay way doring Election Weekend. In most states this is a holiday, and a lot of people make it a 4 day weekend. We got swamped twice. After Wed, things get back to normal. Good Luck, you can never go wrong when your at WDW!!!

I take it this means the week after Thanksgiving is usually a pretty good time to visit???

In October, I would say Columbus Week.

In November, definitely avoid the week of Thanksgiving.

In December, Christmas to New Year's Day. (Can you say nightmare on Main Street?)

I've been the day after Thanksgiving twice and the parks are packed that Friday and Saturday. I've also been over New Year's once and once was enough. NYE it took 2 hours for me to get from MGM back to my resort. NYD the line for Space Mountain was 2 1/2 hours long at 10am. YIKES!!

We went in mid December last year and had the place to ourselves until the weekend. Benefits: low crowds, low rates, and all of the holiday decorations are out. Only drawback was the cool weather. But we'll do it again this year!

In Oct - I'd avoid Halloween & Columbus Day weekend
In Nov - I'd avoid the Jersey/Election/Super Soap week & Thanksgiving weekend
In Dec - I'd avoid Christmas - New Years

As always, the weekends will be the busiest in any month. But most especially so during Food & Wine Fest and after Thanksgiving for the Holiday Decorations & Celebrations.

according to the Pop Warner web site "For the past ten year, the event has taken place at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex ™ in Lake Buena Vista, FL during the second week of December."
Hving said that we always go the first week of the month and stay till just before xmas. We have never had any problems with any of the kids, they are always on their best behavior. We have even seen coaches not let players play if they are rude to others. Plus they all have to matain a high GPA to even compete to start with.
But we always leave juat before xmas bucause those people are many and alot more rude and pushy.
This year we are going from the 7th till the 21st and plan on having a great time.

Last year, we went from 12/10 to 12/20. The parks were gloriously empty and quiet until 12/16. We loved it. It was quite chilly but that was okay with us since, frankly, we dislike hot temps esp. at Christmas when it is supposed to be cold! We would choose that second week in Dec. again in a heartbeat.

This year, because of DS's school schedule, we are going 12/2 to 12/12. We'll run into the PW kids, I guess, if we continue our plan to spend part of the trip at POFQ (if that particular mod gets overflow - I am not sure of that yet). We're hoping to move to all deluxes though and then I am sure it won't be as big an issue.

LOL, I am tempted to say that week is going to be "awful" so that we and the PW kids will be the only ones there. (J/K!)
