When Metal Ruled The World

I couldn't sleep last night, so I turned on VH1, and that was coming on. Metal really did rule the world until grunge came out of Seattle, with a different sound. Then we went to rapmetal, then pop took over for awhile, and now emo is breaking grounds.

If you could be alive during any major musical revolution (disco, metal, etc) what would you choose?

I'd like to have been around in the disco ages......You could wear your pants up to your belly button, wear bell bottoms, and have a 'fro and not be teased! And plus, you could dance without embarrasment because everyone did the same dance!

ha your right! yep, disco would be cool but i think i would've liked the rock'n'roll ages... elvis and stuff... that would've been kinda cool...

I personally would like..
I'm not sure how to classify it..
listen to Kodachrome by Paul Simon or Me & Julio by Paul Simon.
That sound, just makes me think about how things were so simple from 1960 to 1979.
Even if it's not really supposed to be like those times, it's what I think of when I listen to it.
Kodachrome reminds me of the eighties, but not in that flashy NY style thing. Just kind of like... where I live back then.

I would have wanted to be a teenager in either the 80's or 90's, I was born in the early 90's, and it would have been cool to be older in that decade.
