When is your spring (or winter) break 2010?

Here in Union County, NC (a suburb of Charlotte), Spring Break is ALWAYS Good Friday through the week after Easter. We never go to WDW then, because DH has an aversion to big crowds. Although, now that DD is in middle school, we might have to go during school breaks- we took her out of elementary school every year before, usually in October or January.

I love Easter Sunday at the MK - our family expects crowds so it never bothers us. I love seeing the ladies in their big fluffy Easter dresses as you enter mainstreet.

Being a teacher myself we always travel at peak times. March 31-April 8 thisyear - Air and Resort are booked. Now if only 4/3 would come out again this year - crossing our fingers.

In Western New York (Buffalo / Niagara Falls) ours is really late this year, April 19-23. It surprised me that it wasn't Easter week, as when Easter is in April it usually is the week before or after. We are considering taking advantage of the late week for possibly a short surprise (to DD) trip to WDW...since we are buying AP passes this year. A lot will depend on ticket prices when Southwest opens these dates in October, but if we can get decent flights, stay in a value, and eat only counter service, we can have a pretty cheap 4-5 night trip, perhaps <$1000. The thought is to fly out Wed. or Thurs. of spring break week to get a cheaper flight, and fly back Monday night (or Tuesday morning) after break is over. If DD misses 1 or 2 days of school, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Last year Disney ran a special that was pay for a 4 night package at a WDW resort and get 3 free night with theme park tickets included. The package was avaialble at Easter time last year and we saved about $1000. It was great. If I recall correct Disney will not announce their next promotion for a few months. If you already have a reservation when the promotion comes out you can call and they will adjust your price - that is what they did for us last year.

Easter is such a great time a disney the weather is great and if you go in with the mind set it will be busy than you will be fine. We love Easter at WDW.

This year we are planning on mixing it up a bit and going to head to Disneyland and San Diego. I assume we are picking a pretty good week for that, but would love to hear for sure that this is not a spring break week for folks out west.

We're the week before Easter... so according to the poll, looks like it's gonna be pretty darn busy that week! I remember this past year that week there were parks closing to capacity.

Ours is April 5-9 (Concord, NC). We'll be down there with 70 of our closest friends (our kids marching band). It's always nuts that week, but well worth it to see my kids march at Disney.
