When is your school out for Christmas Break?

My kids are off from Dec 17-Jan 2. We will be at Disney Dec 17-25. Hope the weather is good in Florida and the crowds are low.

Ours is from Friday, Dec 23 and we return Tuesday, Jan 3. We're also on year-round school, so if you choose to skip intersession, classes start up on Jan 16.

In Georgia, out at noon on 12/20 and back to school on 1/5.

Chicagoland burbs here: 12/23-1/9. Looks like we are in sync w/the southern areas this time.

NJ is out December 23rd and go back January 2nd. We always only get a week. I never realized that other schools around the country are out for 2 weeks at Christmas until this past year. I am envious!

I didn't realize the length of other schools breaks until I read this thread! WOW! I'd like to know how they manage to make that work!

1/2 day on December 16th to start break. School resumes on January 2nd.

For DH who teaches HS and can't miss -- he has to teach all of 12/23 and is back 1/3. Our trip is from 12/24 to 1/1. I'm waiting for him to retire so I can go the first week or two of December and attend an MVMCP!

Lafourche Parish schools in Southern Louisiana are out Dec.17 and return on Jan.2

Tampa area is out from December 19th-30th, but then have a Teacher Work Day January 2nd, so my kids aren't actually back in school until the 3rd. I'm still puzzled by why they'd do a work day on that day.
