When is Your Next Royal Cruise?

Next Royal cruise for us is Utopia in February.

We did Icon twice this year and we loved it! It has become my favorite ship!

Yes, we are excited to try an Oasis class ship! Definitely a upgrade from the smaller Royal ships, we will probably go with Wonder since it is cheaper. Which restaurants do you recommend?

We tend not to do specialty dining. However we got a free SP meal from our travel agent, so tried Hooked which we enjoyed. I would not call it mind-shattering (we grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada so have had lots of exposure to great seafood) but it was solid.

We tried 150 Central Park on Allure when it first sailed - then I enjoyed it quite a bit because they had a set menu created by a chef who I believe rotated every 6-12 months. I understand they've changed the menu format however. But if I were to try another SP restaurant I would pick that more to compare to past experiences.

A couple we met on the Wonder who also cruise a lot really enjoyed the Mason Jar. The food itself seems to be what you could get in the southern US. I'd like to try it to listen to the country band that performs. Whatever Italian restaurant is there are solid, but suggest going for lunch because the price is cheaper and the menu is fairly similar. We enjoyed Chops back when it was only $15 pp - now that the price is higher (and I can make a decent steak at home) I'm not as keen for that price. Have never tried Izumi but I don't see how it's any different from a similar format restaurant where we live. If you feel like pub food, Playmakers is a great spot to watch a game (extra charge though). Of course the free options like the roast beef sandwiches at Park Cafe are often good enough to us at least. I know others who don't enjoy the free offerings.

My sister and I decided to go on another Alaskan cruise in May 2025 (Radiance of the Seas), and this time we are taking out two adult daughters. Can't wait!!

Was going to bit the bullet and purchase internet during the BF deal, but despite the supposed discount the prices actually aren't much different from when I had last checked the prices early September.

Our first cruise on RC will be Allure of the Seas in May out of Italy. We'll see if we like it.
