Is TIW like the AP, if you purchase in advance the clock does not start until you use it/activate it?

I have read there is an automatic 18% tip. Is this also included for the hotel food courts (Artist Pallet SSR)?

This looks like a much better option than the DDP.

TIW starts from the date your purchase it. So if you purchase it on FEb 22nd, it is active from 02/22 until 03/31 of the next year (they give you the extra month).

18% tip is added. It can be used at food courts at resorts that do not have a table service. I don't remember if we were able to use it at Artists Pallette since they do have the TS Turf Club there.

No tip is added at those locations like Artists Palette (food court/CS type places) and you can use it there.

If you have an AP voucher (vs an actual AP) that you plan on converting to an AP once you arrive at the parks, you can no longer purchase the TiW card until you get there and activate your AP. They used to let you purchase a DDE card in advance, with a voucher number, but now you have to have an actual AP.

We just exchanged our vouchers and purchased the TiW card at the same time, at MK Guest Relations.

You need to work out the numbers. Usually for us the TIW is a better deal, plus we don't like eating a big meal every day.
