When is the marathon and the cheerleading events??

We are planning an additional quick trip for some time around the end of January (gotta get our money's worth outta those APs!!) and want to make sure that we don't schedule it during any of the major events. Does anyone know when the marathon and any of the cheerleading events are held? Any other events occur around that time that would affect crowds and resorts??

The marathon in Sunday, January 11. It has been my experience that the cheerleading competitions happen often. We have seen cheerleaders on most of our trips in January and March. I wouldn't worry about either of these groups causing large crowds. January is a great time to go! Low crowds and temperatures make for easy touring. Have a great time. Dawn

Oh, you may want to avoid Martin Luther King weekend, crowds may be up then.
