When is the main pool at OKW closed for the new slide?

Does anyone know when the main pool will be closed for the slide addition? Thanks!!!

The most recent timeframe I've seen from DVC is that it will close in September (not sure if they gave an exact date) and they are planning to try and have it open in late December but for sure by January.

I was told September thru at the latest late January when I emailed MS.

I got the same answer: Sept-late Dec (maybe Jan '05) when I asked at OKW while checking in last week.

thanks for all your replies!!! what does it mean though? will the guests be able to pool hop to other places easily? I have heard something like they will provide a shuttle to SSR to pool hop, is this the case? I assume the other pools at OKW are still accessible.

A shuttle seems a little far-fetched to me. That's an awful big expense for 4 months when there are other swimming options available at OKW.

The only thing that may make some sense is if they were to combine a normal bus route for SSR and OKW--like maybe the Downtown Disney route. Maybe they would consider having the DD bus go from OKW to SSR then to DD. Of course, that would make for one heck of a long loop with multiple stops at all three locations, plus the normal trip over the Typhoon lagoon.

More likely, I suspect the boat may be the only direct transportation from OKW to SSR.
