When is the construction at GF ending?

We are going for our first visit during the holidays and staying at the GF. Just wondering when the construction is ending. Reading some very disappointing reviews on tripadvisor and I would hate to spend all that money for a ton of noise and disruption.

Is there any word on when it is scheduled to be complete?

We just returned and can honestly say it was never a problem.

Be careful of what you read on trip advisor. All the worst reviews seem to go up on that site. I am not refering to just disney. We went to Antigua for our 25th aniversary last year. After reading all the reviews there we were really afraid of what we might find. We had a wonderful time. It was like they were talking about a completley different place altogether. You need to learn to read between the lines. Also some people seem to feel that when they are on vacation they should be able to say jump and all those around are supposed to do it and ask how high.

ITA - I hate reading Trip Advisor reviews - there is SO much negative there about everywhere. Always makes me think that people who take the time to post there are just generally hard to please and grumpy.

I totally agree with this....we were there 9/18 - 9/25 and honestly we hardly even noticed. the only time we noticed that there was anything going on was going to get our mugs at Gasparilla's. It's not going to ruin anything for you.... the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. We were in heaven !!

So glad to hear that the construction wasn't that bad. I just happened to find that review and it made me a little nervous.

I know what you mean about reading in between the lines. No place on earth can make everyone happy all the time.

Now I just have to try and keep quite for the next 2 months! We are surprising the kids with a Christmas trip!

I returned from GF at the end of Sept and had no problems with noise. They were painting the main building and replacing some sod. If you were going from the main building to the quick service restaurant you had to stay on a certain path, but it wasn't out of the way.

This was my first stay at the GF and it was fantastic! You're going to love the resort. Don't worry about a thing.
