We want to take our kids to Disney for a few days, anyone have any tips on the cheapest time to go?

think i read somewhere that jan was the best, might have to pull ur kids out cuz you def dont wanna go on any time of school break..we usually go in oct/nov and find it pretty reasonable..maybe think about staying off property with a hotel that has a shuttle. youll pay less, some give u free breakfast, and you wont have to compete with crowds during that time. good luck

we have always gone either during the time between thanksgiving and christmas, or in january and have loved it! we stay offsite and the rates are low. plus, no crowds! now that dd is in school, we lean more towards january, as we have a week every year that has 2 school days off, so we can minimize dd's absences...

We used to get unbelievably low ($50 range) resorts rate at the Values in January when DS and DD were small. We'd miss 2 days of school, go over a weekend, and be back in school on Monday:cutie: We are using the 4/3free package :worship:this trip--we'll be at WDW and our beloved ASMo on Friday and packing our snacks, water bottles to fill up, trail mix for the plane rides, and fruit to save on those small expenses. We utilize the TIW dining program, $400 in Disney Rewards, and confine our shopping to only those items that you cannot purchase anywhere outside the parks and resorts. I purchase ponchos, glo jewelry items, room organizers, etc at DollarTree (not at WDW).Smart planning has allowed us to go annually through good times and bad so it's definitely working ;)

We go during free dining and value season. We like to stay onsite, but it is cheaper to stay offsite in most hotels. I have never stayed offsite, but assume you would then have to rent a car as an added expense. I think some hotels shuttle you back and forth throughout the day.

We went about the second week in December. It was the cheapest we found, and the less crowed! Plus, all the Christmas decorations are up which were amazing to see. They also offered free dining last year at that time.
