When is the best time to re-check in?

I have a room only before my package deal starts so I will need to re-check in the following day. I have a twer room reserved for the package deal and a tower club for the first night. I would really love a MK view for the tower room for my package deal..(boy this sounds confusing) so when is the best time to re-check in to maybe increase my chances of getting the view I requested? (I do have it noted on my reservation). The night before or what time in the morning? Any suggestions

First thing in the morning (7:00 AM) worked for us in a similar case at the BC lastyear. What "I have heard" is that room assignments take place late night /early morning on a daily basis. It probably wouldn't hurt to check the night before, but I think you'll get a more definitive response in the morning!

Just some news to keep you from worrying..... I have stayed there about 25 times in the past 10 years and always got the MK view that I requested. Believe it or not, some people request Bay Lake and others - that don't really know they have a choice - don't make any request.

I am not sure what time of day to specifically request it. I would definitely mention it at check in on the first day for starters.

Call down to the front desk the night before because you may not need to check in again. When we were at BC last month, we didn't need to so just ask. We never had to back to the front desk for anything once we were checked in and we had express check out.

We've not had to re-check-in at the Cont and we had 3 seperate reservations for the same stay - as Castillo Mom wrote, be sure to ask when you check-in.

Thanks for all the reponses ( I just love this board) the only thing is that I have 2 different room categorys (a tower club for night 1 and just a regular tower room for the rest of the week) so I know I will have to check back in the morning b/c of that. I have tried to even see if they had a tower club room for my entire stay ( to pay of course for the upgrade) but there is nothing available.

Yes, that does make a difference. but keep checking on availability and ask at check-in too...you never know!! Are you going at a busy time?

edit: oops -just noticed your countdown. I've called everyday when necesary, and finally got a room at every resort I wanted!! It can happen!!
