I am a WDW veteran but have not been in a while. We are looking at going next year around Aug-Sep. Can anyone tell me how were the crowds the week before Labor Day this year.

I don't know about the week before but we checked in that Sun. It was busy Sun night and somewhat busy Mon morning. By Mon evening it was dead and stayed that way the rest of the week! We went to MK both Sat and Sun of the following weekend and still had no problems with lines.

USUALLY the closer to September you go, the less the crowds because many schools (especially in the South) start early. However, I went this past August and it was more crowded than usual because of the free dining. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't like going over Christmas, but there lines were long for the more popular rides. But I can't really remember anything over a 70 minute wait if that helps you any...

We were there the last week of August and left just before Labor Day.

We walked on just about every ride. Our longest wait was probably no more than 10 minutes. We walked onto Soarin'...five minute wait for POC...20 minute wait for Peter Pan, so we fastpassed and walked on an hour later.

Whatever park had the EMH the night before was the park we went to. Worked out beautifully for us!

Thanks!! We went the same time last year and found the crowds low. Just wanted to see how they were this year to estimate how they will be next year.
