Does any one know when is the best time to travel to disney world ? With no long line to get on Rides ?::MinnieMo

Early December is very nice. Last year the weather was wonderful and no lines anywhere.

We like mid-January. It's our wedding anniversary, crowds are low, and for us Minnesotans the weather so far has been just fine.:bounce:

Christmas week is the worst week of the year if you are looking for short lines, but early December the resorts will be decorated for the season already...with fewer crowds

I have been in early November the past few years and the weather is great, parks are not that crowded, it's pretty easy to get dinner reservations. Overall a good time.

I am a big fan of the last two weeks in August. It is hot, but not as crowded. Most of the country starts school in mid August so its less crowded!

I agree that the last two weeks in August are not very crowded. My family and I always go at that time of year and never have much of a wait for rides. If you don't mind temperatures in the 90s and humidity I recommend this time.

:)

It's hard to recommend this after the crazy hurricane season Florida has seen this year, but I've always heard that September is one of the best times to go for low crowds. Also, you can still count on warm weather for water parks and swimming.

September can be a good time to go, but there can be a lot of rain. October had been my favorite month for Disney World, with a combination of non-brutal weather and low crowds, but then I went this past January, in the last week, and now I never want to go any other time of year. The weather was refreshing and clear, and there were no crowds ever anywhere. It was by far the most relaxing trip to Disney World that I've ever experienced. I would imagine the same would apply to February as well.

The week after Thanksgiving...oh, the beautiful holiday decorations, the crowds are down, the weather is nice (no hurricanes). I have been twice in late Aug now...this year and last year. '03 was hot/humid and not too badly crowded. But...'04 was horrible. The humidity was just incredible. Must have been due to 'Charley'. Won't be doing that again for a bit. We've been in late Oct...that was nice. And then early Nov. Yep, Nov wins. Just don't be there for the Wed before Thanksgiving thru the week-end. (I'll be doing that this year!!) Very crowded.

I suggest you get the Unofficial Guide to WDW, 2005. You will need it to navigate WDW anyway (it is way, way, WAY bigger and different than Disneyland). Plus, this new guide that's out has estimated crowd levels for every day of the year! Very helpful.

The first week or October is the slowest week, of the slowest month.

Right now. I am posting live from the WDW Dolphin. We have been here since last Saturday and the place is empty. We have been able to walk on all of the major rides and even ride some of them multiple times in a row without having to get out of the ride vehicle.

We love Sept and Jan but if you want to get quality pool time then go with Sept. If you can do twice a year then Sept and Jan is the way to go.

How is the humdity Weather in Sept. I am from calif and there isnt much humdity

We went in late June this year...never again! The humidity and crowds were enough to make us crazy. It was our first Disney trip (out of 8) that we really didn't enjoy. If you can't take the humidity, don't go in the summer. September can be hot and humid as well. My sister in-law went in September and said never again. Our best times were the first 2 weeks in December. It can be a little cool, but the crowds are low and the decorations and atmosphere are wonderful. We are trying the first week in November this year. I've been told by many friends that the weather is great and crowds low.

Thanks for you advice !

The week after Labor Day! You still have that great August weather to enjoy the pools until your heart's content, but there is NO ONE in the park. We just got back and we owned the place. No lines. The CM are great because you're their only customer. They were regularly going back and getting me pins off their own lanyards and other great gestures. Sure, you have to dodge hurricanes here and there but for us it's worth it. BTW- we only had one night of rain.

Peace,
Viki

May, May, May! It is awesome! We love the Flower and Garden Show at Epcot. The weather is usually mid-80's and little rain. The humidity is not too bad, and the crowds are ok.

December, December, December! Early December that is! We love the decorations, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the Candlelight Processional. The crowds are ok.

January, January, January! It may be cool (although we were able to swim on our trips) and the crowds were nothing. We went the week after New Years.

October, October, October! We are leaving in 21 days!!! We love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, the beautiful weather, and the crowds are ok.

March, March, March....well you get the picture. Just avoid the holidays and summer and you will be ok. Sandie
