We are making three ADR for breakfast and I am curious when I should make them for.

1) Earliest time to get into park early meaning more time in the parks. Kids don't mind going early but I am afraid we will not be very hungry and the meal will not last (we are not really early and big breakfast eaters).

2) Almost at the end of breakfast time as to make this more of a brunch and we will not have to get two more big meals that day. However, I have heard a few bad reviews of the end of breakfast buffets (food cool, characters done, etc).

3) Or sometime inbetween??

Thanks!!

We always eat breakfast sit down meals at the end of their breakfast window. My teens are not early risers. Also when we do EMH we like to eat brunch at the end of our park time because we usually get so much done that after breakfast we go back to the resort pool.

Anyway, we have never had a problem. Actually I felt that it was a bit less rushed because the breakfast time was not as hectic. There has always been enough food and it has been hot. The only observation that I can make is that at CP they shut down half of the buffet but that is also because every breakfast diner was not on that side because they were setting up for lunch. As for the characters, since there were less diners they did come around more frequently, and at CP when Eeyore is at your table four times that is alot.

We have eaten at many locations, park, resorts, character and non character. The end of the breakfast window is our preferred time.

We only do TS breakfast before park opening. We usually do Crystal Palace and Tusker House breakfast before park opening (usually around 8AM). We don't do that on morning EMH days... only on regular opening time 9AM. That way, we are in the park before opening for nice empty photo session and we are usually done eating before the park opening and are headed for big attraction.

We always eat as early as possible so that we are finished in time for parks openings. DD is an early riser and I find it best to start the day with a good meal. Then sometimes we skip lunch but sometimes not. We do the DxDDP and we love to eat :rotfl:

I would use the end of the breakfast window. That way you're over the excitement of "just getting in to the park", and you're ready for a break.

We generally have a little snack, or a hot pastry in the am on the way in to the park, or when we first get in to the park. I like to have meals at times I'm getting tired and ready for a break.

For us (when we took the nieces) it was best to make the earliest breakfast times possible because the girls are starving the minute they wake up plus the restaurants are not that busy and we can get in the park earlier.

Ditto! We did an early morning breakfast at each park. We loved getting in the parks before the crowds. We took some of our best pictures during those times - how many people get a picture in front of Cinderella's castle with virtually no one else in the picture? We got to see the characters, have breakfast, and were done before the park opened so we got to be the 1st in line for the attractions.

Thanks for everyones input...its pretty 50/50. That being said, since we are doing three meals, we will have the GG Tonys breakfast as early as possible before park opens to see MK with so little people. Then the other two (because the buffets are still good towards the end), I will make the other two to be a brunch.

Yeah...one step closer to my ADR on 6/14.

We had a snack in the room around 7 and had a late breakfast at 10:15 at Crystal Palace. We were there a little over an hour and basically were one of only about 3 or 4 families in our part of the restaurant by the time we left. They still had breakfast on one side of the buffet and they were putting out lunch when we left. Our server encouraged us to stay as long as we wanted. We were there about an hour. The characters probably came around 3 times and the kids took part in the parade. DH & Kids were at buffet & I was sitting by myself when Eeyore & Piglet came around an additional time and both hugged me. I was talking to my sister on the phone & Eeyore is her favorite. He got my phone like he was talking on it. It was so cute & it's a shame the area was so desterted that nobody else saw it! That was the only place that the characters went out of the way to interact with me or DH. DH got his picture taken with Tigger.
