When is the 2007 school holiday in December?

Hi - we are thinking of going to Disneyland this year before Christamas. I am wondering when the school holidays usually are, so that we can (of course) try to avoid the crowds. We are thinking either the weekend of the 8th or the 15th. Any idea which one might be better? I am guessing it is a toss up at this point, but not sure.

Around here, they get off the week before christmas until right after the 1st

Weekends in December are crowded, period. The earlier may be less crowded than the latter, but plan for crwods regardless. The benefit of going the weekend of the 15th is that the DEP will most likely be showing!

Christmas falls weirdly this year. Our school's last day is December 21st, but vacation goes all the way until January 7th. Usually there is more time before Christmas and less time after, but not this year.

The first weekd of December is never crowded during the week! We go every year at this time (sometimes twice!!).

But I have to agree with you that anytime after the second week is "No go time" for our family. It's just too crazy.


OP: Not positive about the school breaks in San Diego. but I'll go off of last year. Break the 21st and come back after Jan 7th.

I'd pick the weekend of the 8th. We were there around the 15th last year and it got more and more crowded each day we were there.

We went around the 15th two years ago and it was pretty crowded. This year we are going Dec 8-10 - Sat, Sun and Mon. We will experience all the weekend shows, parades and fireworks and hopefully we will "walk on" all the rides Monday.
