When is payment due for transfer.

If I am trying to transfer points in to my DVC account , when is payment suppose to to made of for the transfer. Before the trip , right when the request is made ? please help first timer .

That is solely an issue between you and the transferor, although most I have heard about want it just before the actual transfer, including because the transfer is irreversible.

When I have done transfers, I require full payment before I do the transfer,

Since it isn’t reversible, I was only comfortable with payment in full. Obviously, it required a lot of trust of me from the person who got my points.

When I got a transfer, it was the same. I paid in full before I got points,

There’s not going to be a rule, since being paid for a transfer is against DVC rules.

I have done a 3 way call with MS to have points verified to buyer, who immediately (and quietly) pays me via paypal. The actual transfer occurs after payment is received. But everything is negotiable, so make sure both parties are on the same page!

When I do transfers, I always require payment first because transfers are non-reversible.

When I have done transfers in I have paid 50% before and 50% when comleted
