No AP language does not even include DisneyQuest in their offerings as they have in the past.

I heard January when were were there last week. I would say April at the latest.

Did I hear correctly that they are replacing it with some kind of sports attraction? Did Disney even give a reason for getting rid of DQ? We just got back from a trip out there and made sure to get there on our last day (we were going to go first day but our flight got delayed). I just can't imagine anything better than what they have there. There's almost nowhere you can play all of those classic arcade games anymore. Plus, we love their POTC virtual game as well! Will miss. *sniff*

Us neither I wonder what Disney's rationale for this- or why they couldn't maybe combine that with everything already there? I know that a lot of people like sports but I can't imagine it being more popular than what is already there. Oh well.......PROGRESS! /s

Just to throw it out there, Disney owns ESPN and ABC and a lot of NBA is televised on the family of networks so that may be the tie in.

Has anyone visited DQ (no not Dairy Queen) lately? Are the games in good working order? More specifically the top floor with the pinball and 80's video games. I have to wonder at what point Disney stops any maintenance and pulls them from the floor. Thanks

- Was there first week of October. There were a few less games - so yes they are not replacing once down - and noticed they had moved some things like skeeball. Some of the kiddie games were not working well but I saw no issues with other games. If you were not familiar with what was there you probably wouldn't notice some were gone, it wasn't that many.

- None of the larger attractions had issues so they were all working. The manufacturer of many of those is out of business, so once there are no parts or able to be repaired, they end up like Comix, closed.

- DD worked there beginning of year. Before I left I had her contact her manager and ask about closing date, wanted to know if I should go this trip to be sure. She was told they have been given no close date, no indication of when it might be. I would lean that at this point they should know if it is January since people she knew at other attractions all knew their close dates way in advance - but you never know.
