When is CRT billed to CC?

When booking CRT, I had to pay upfront for the meal. When does that go onto my credit card? Soon after I make the reservation or on the day of the meal? Is there a way to use gift cards to pay? I think tip is included in the pre-pay, correct? Are there no money transactions once in the castle?

Charge hits your CC immediately. Tip and tax are included.

Not sure about gift cards.

What about cancellations? I know it charges the whole price if you don't cancel within 2 hours, but if I cancel within the appropriate time frame, am I refunded for the meal?

Thanks

Check the verbage on cancellation when you book. This one probably has a different cancellation period, maybe a couple of days. But if you do it within the allowed time, you will get a full refund.

agreed, this might be the 24 or 48 hours cancellation requirement still…

The final total will be calculated when you actually eat there. That is when the annual pass discount is made… the amount of the deduction is refunded to the original credit card.

Although I haven’t done it, I expect that you could use gift cards to settle the final bill and a refund would be made to the credit card the original charge was on. Maybe someone with experience could speak to that.

Thanks

Hi @knlasv , I had booked lunch at CRT at my 60 day booking window (back in Feb) for 3 people for our May trip two weeks ago. My cc was charged immediately (that billing cycle) and I paid it. A few weeks before the trip, there was a change in our plans and no one wanted to go with me anymore (not DH or or DS 🙄 ) so I canceled the ressie. A credit showed up to my CC within 24-48 hours (it was pretty fast). So yes, as long as it's the appropriate time frame (cannot recall if it's 24 or 48 hours?) you will for sure get your refund. It was pretty easy. I hope you have a great time...I'll just have to try to convince the family that we need to eat there next time. 🤣

You just have to cancel at least two hours in advance to get a full refund for CRT.

Just to clarify....tax AND gratuity are charged at time of booking? Also, do you have to pay with a credit card or can you pay with a gift card?

The ADR pre-payment has to go on a credit card.

But, I suspect you can pay with giftcards upon dining. You'd have to ask, or maybe someone will post who's done it.

We used to use dining plan credits, and the server assured us they'd be applied and our pre-payment refunded to our card. Happened that way every time.

Yes, you can pay with gift cards when you get to the restaurant. You still have to pay with a credit card at time of booking, but they will refund your card at the restaurant.

When the Dining Plan was around, you did have the option of selecting Dining Plan credits to book your CRT reservation in lieu of a credit card. Guests who chose that option did not have to pay for CRT at time of booking, but they still had to provide a credit card as a guarantee in case they didn't show up.
