When is a Queue line not to be missed?

The only stby line you list that I haven’t been thru is PPF. We did it at RD and it was too early. They had the interactive indoor portion closed off since the line wasn’t long enough yet. I personally wouldn’t ever wait in a stby line intentionally for the themed queue. Not my thing. But I also don’t get the Disney interactive queue thing. We were in 7DMT stby line and the thing is, the line is always moving. So it’s not like the kids can sit and play the games. They kind of touch the screens and get a sense that there is something to do there just in time to move right on past them. You could obviously let people go ahead of you ... but not something we were going to do in a line that was 45 mins. The games and screens in the waiting area at Jimmy Fallon at Uni, totally works. The themed queues at Disney ... make for interesting things to look at when you have to ride stby. But I wouldn’t go stby to see them. YMMV.

The best queue, IMHO, was the one at the Mickey, Minnie and Goofy meet & greet in Epcot. They play old Mickey Mouse cartoons on the overhead TVs in there.

For me, the queue of Peter Pan is as enjoyable as the ride. That being said, it isn't enjoyable for more than 10-15 minutes. The interactive bedroom is awesome but much longer than 15 minutes it would start to get boring and you will be ready to move on. In a perfect world the queue would be 10 minutes long and it would be the best overall attraction at MK, right there with Splash Mountain.

In my opinion - any queue can be missed. The ones I stood through because people told me they were cute - ended up not being worth the extra time. Cute if the line was 15-20 minutes but most of the better queues are better for a reason - their lines are really long!

Jungle Cruise has a lot of great jokes in the queue. Haunted Mansion's is loaded with tributes and puns. I think the queue for Little Mermaid is better than the ride, honestly.

Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids are loaded with details and help tell the story of each attraction.

Tower of Terror is a classic and is incredibly themed.

I don't like interactive queues. At all. Especially if there are touchscreens.

I wouldn't wait in standby more than 15 minutes

Wow.

The only two queues that I wouldn't miss are the Harry Potter rides down I-4 :duck:

:) I agree with not missing the rides, but I'll skip any queue if allowed.

Jungle Cruise has a lot of great jokes in the queue.

Yes. I'd wait in that line. Except that at the end there are caged tarantulas, and that's awful for me.

I think the queue for Little Mermaid is better than the ride, honestly.

:) If you ever go to Anaheim, the ride (which is the same) is much better because the queue there is soooo boring.

Peter Pan was my favorite book as a child so much so that I ended up with the nickname of Tink, so that queue is worth it to me almost no matter what as long as it's under 30 minutes.

@bumbershoot: I wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes just to experience the queue, I max out at half hour waits for standby to ride the ride :)

The problem with waiting in a queue to experience it is that there has to be a long enough line for you to enjoy the queue and not feel rushed to hustle through by the people behind you. But you don't want it too long where you are wasting time in line when you could be doing something else.

If you have small children, I would add Pooh to your list. Little Mermaid's queue is cute with the little crabs that pop up everywhere and carry things around. Soarin' has a nice queue with trivia played on your smart phone. Finding Nemo's queue brings you from the beach and into the sea and under the "butt" before reaching the ride.

I don't think that the queue for Test Track, Star Tours or EE are really worth it or interesting ... you see enough or the same in the FP+ queue.
