When it's the new Disney Springs map.
So I went to Disney Springs today and decided to give the new B.B. Wolf's Sausage Co. a try. Cause, sausage.
Since it's new, I didn't know where it was. No problem, I figured I'd use one of their brand new handy, dandy all digital, software based map kiosks that they now have.
While the map told me where I was (duh, I always know where I am. right here), it didn't tell me where B.B. Wolf's was. In case your mind is drifting. Let me say, no. I will not make a childish (if not inappropriate) comment such as, "Looks like Disney is playing hide the sausage." Nope. Not gonna go there. It also doesn't look like I'm going to B.B. Wolf's Sausage Co. either.
In fact, the map didn't tell me where any of the 12 different Carts & Kiosk places were. This particular section of the map did not have any numbers next to any of the places.
So I started walking around and ran into a Cast Member who knew where it was. (guess you can't outsource directions)
I quickly found B.B. Wolf's Sausage Co., only to find they were not open. Apparently, somebody huffed and puffed and blew out their water main. It was closed. I needed Coney Island Chris to call me a wambulance.
The cast member standing outside the closed up kiosk told me they had a water problem.
I told him he had a map problem.
He said he knew all about the map issue and that they were not happy about it. Gee, I wonder how many maps Disney printed with no directions for 12 food locations? 10, 15 or 128,000 maybe?
Well, at least the map kiosk is software based, so they can change it. (which they haven't) Same with the PDF I downloaded. (which they haven't)
So why is the newly created map not a complete and useful map and more perplexing why haven't they changed the non-printed maps?
Is it because they move the carts and kiosks all the time so the map would never be correct? (no, they don't look very mobile all cemented into the ground)
Did they run out of numbers to number the places? (not according to George Carlin)
Is it because there is no dot on the map for the place? (no, there's a dot where it's actually located, if you know where it is)
Did the map guy not know where the carts and kiosks were located? (possible, though in his defense, there is no map for him to know where to put the number)
Did the map guy's Photoshop subscription run out before he got to the last section on the map? (yes! this is the most likely scenario, I can't stand software subscriptions)
Anyway, I know where B.B. Wolf's Sausage Co. is now.
I bet it's great. The menu looks great. I'll probably highly recommend it, when every I get back there to try it out.
Wanna know where it is?
It's at the south end of the bridge between the place not yet open called Paddlefish (the old crab boat place, thing) and the Lego Store. Look on the map. There's a little greenish square, just left of the Lego water serpent. It's the square with no number next to it.
I'm sure they'll get their water issue sorted out. Though, isn't it ironic that they've renamed the place Disney Springs and this new place was closed due to a water problem?
