When is a good time to got to Vero Beach?

My husband and I are planning a trip to Vero Beach for a few days then a week in WDW. When is a good time to go? Good weather not a lot of people. Also, has anyone been there? Did you have a good time?

Sept - but this is hurricane season

October and November are our favorite months.

We've been in March, May and August, we liked May the best. March's weather was all over the place. August's weather was affected by Katrina (?), we were at the very northern tip of the rain. May was wonderful, perfect beach weather, plus there were opportunities to go on the beach and perhaps see where turtle nests were dug.

We had good bike rides each time as well.

I agree about May being good for turtles. We were there a few years ago during the month of May and saw a few very large turtles. We also got to see one being rescued.

My children still talk about how exciting it was.

I agree with prior posters -- late October (less likely to have hurricane problems but still warm) or May.

Personally, I would avoid hurricane season - June through November - a looong season! May would be my preference; we've always had great weather on our Florida trips in May. Too many hurricanes have been hitting Florida lately for me to have a comfort level to travel there then - especially on the coast.
