When is a good time to do laundry?

Worst day to do laundy on the Eastern on the Magic, Thursday at sea according to the cabin stewards.
We were on deck 7, down the hall from the laundry room.
I also don't care for folks who take my clothes out when they THINK they are done. That was the issue we had, only because it took more than one cycle in the dryer to get clothes dry.
I am spoiled, since I have never lived in a situation where I had to use a laundramat, our first apartment had a place for a washer and dryer in every unit, needless to say, it was the best $400 were ever spent for being able to do laundry when we wanted!!
We actually had a Maytag repairman on our trip, he said the reason the dryers took so long was they were'nt properly vented.

If I put enough money in for 2 cycles, it will just keep going? Really? That would be great! The clothes are never dry after 1 cycle.

Yep, yep, yep.
The digital timer will then reflect that your cycle will be done in 80 minutes instead of 40 minutes. That was one of the best tips I got from the DIS, prior to our trip.

I don't understand the need for this - we dried 2 loads in one cycle, it was that hot and that efficient! I had read that it might take more than one run, but our experience was exactly the opposite. Now, I will say that we did not wash the jeans, mainly shorts, socks, shirts kinda stuff, but it's an 89 minute cycle which worked great, I wish my dryer at home was that good.

My husband still teases me about all the fun I had doing the laundry on our 7 night. I made some great cruise friends, we even all brought beverages and hung out and made it into a party! I unloaded "done" laundry from the dryer - folded it and left it on nice piles on tables. The people that it belonged to were thrilled! I was called the laundry mistress on that cruise!

A laundry party??? Thought I had heard everything. Last time I had anything like a laundry party was way back in college. - Mike

Dont forget your laundry tabs, they work great and are easy to bring along. I purchased mine from Walmart and they are very inexpensive. Have fun, you will be to busy to think about laundry.

I did laundry on Thursday AM on the Eastern. I checked in twice on the Deck 2 when I found three (count them, three) washers empty. When I got back to check for a dryer, I found three (count them, three) available. Another woman had just taken hers out and had about 50 minutes left on her dryer and said I could use it. The clothes only took about 20 minutes to dry. No problem at all. I really lucked out. I would have enjoyed the laundry party, though!
