When in doubt, feed the bear....but not that!!!Day 6- Last day blues

LOVE the Disney village!!! Such great details. I really want to go at Christmas but probably not going to happen any time soon. Will just have to experience it through TRs!!!

I love taking my time and just looking. You see so many little details that you might overlook otherwise.

Hope you are having a great weekend!! Chloe was in the pool all day today. She is becoming such the water baby. They will be in the pool everyday this summer at school. Then she has swim lessons at school and at CCS. May never get het deprunned;)

Chris graduated today so a late ceremony at the arena. MCD will give her plenty of water time. I hope she has a great time.

Congrats to Chris !!! That is wonderful :thumbsup2

Beautiful pictures at the Yacht Club (I like them better than the Boardwalk).

I'm sure you were tired...all that running around. And, Chris reminds me of my oldest son, he can always eat.

My family all like to eat dinner early, too. All of them. Every day around 5:00 they start making noises about what's for dinner. I can usually hold them off until 6:00, but that is as far as I can push it. :sad2:

Love the Disney village. I think I need a village of some sort in my Christmas decorations...

I thought I commented on this yesterday....
Anyhow, I didn't realize Chris was a senior! No wonder he is so independent.
Congratulations on this BIG milestone!

Some long days yes but I am quickly figuring out which foods and environmental s ( trees, weeds, grasses ) make me which of the seven dwarfs.

You know, sneezy, grumpy, sleepy, puffy, etc. Oh wait that last one is not a dwarf.

:lmao: Loved this!

While walking slowly I manage to snap enough pictures to take this.

Nice work! You're getting good at this. :thumbsup2

Congratulations to Chris!!

I  the Yacht Club. Now that we are DVC I may never stay there again which makes me really really sad. Love the village, I want one just like it!

Congratulations Chris!

My DD would love the Boardwalk's decorations! She loves Stitch! She even named our new bird Stitch. (sorry Kathy!) Wow - I am impressed and your dedication to Hidden Mickey finding.

Love the details shots of the village at the Boardwalk.

I need to go to WDW in December some time!

Congrats to Chris !!! That is wonderful :thumbsup2

I missed seeing this earlier.

Thanks everyone. I am proud of both my kids and this graduation was a bit different since most of his Dad's family was in town so he spent quite a bit of time over with them. Planning to finally take him out to dinner tomorrow night to celebrate. :cool1:

I need to get some pictures off my camera to post here. :goodvibes awiting on the official "graduation " pics from the stage photographer.

Congratulations to Chris!!

Thank and Congrats to Lauren too!!!! :cool1:

I think every resort has its charm and beauty. Some I like better than others but the spirit of Christmas is always there.
Tired and hitting the wall hard and struggling. Wait until you see what time I went to bed.

Chris is always up for a meal... ;)

Chris will wake up wanting to plan dinner. :lmao: Once I had dinner out planned for around 5 ( mostly because around here on the weekend, places get so crowded and we just hate to wait ) He pipes up at 4:10 and wants to go early.. That's when I call him pop pop. :rotfl2:

:lmao: Loved this!

When you are acting like a dwarf.... :rotfl:

Nice work! You're getting good at this. :thumbsup2

Thank you sir. Getting some more practice in a couple of weeks. :thumbsup2

I  the Yacht Club. Now that we are DVC I may never stay there again which makes me really really sad. Love the village, I want one just like it!

I know it makes me sad too. I may just have to go visit and sit in the lobby.

Being short I can pull off the dwarf jokes... :lmao:

Awesome work! :thumbsup2

The Yacht Club looks lovely as usual. Love the detail on the village set.

Thank you and I was amazed by the detail on the village.

My DD would love the Boardwalk's decorations! She loves Stitch! She even named our new bird Stitch. (sorry Kathy!) Wow - I am impressed and your dedication to Hidden Mickey finding.

The boardwalk was easier than the Beach Club. The Beach Club was moving.

Love the details shots of the village at the Boardwalk.

I need to go to WDW in December some time!

That wonderful village was at the Yacht Club. Yes You need to make there at least once.

Hey, Pat!
What are your trip plans for the 4th? Where are you staying? I'm sure you've probably said them before but I missed them. I rhink I'm caught up on your TR, but not Memom's and others!! LOL!!

Trip coming up is July 1-6 at BCV. Still have some things up in the air Like if I might stay an extra night or two or not.

I am driving this time so lots of flexibility. I think the 3rd is POLY and the 4th is EPCOT. My end of the week plans might be tweaked a bit due to some friends being around town down there.

I really need to find out what I am doing ... Anita is already on the road and Memom and crew leave soon. Excited but I have nothing really planned. :scared1: :rotfl2:

More great Christmas photos!! I love all of the decorations at Disney during the Christmas holidays!

I can't believe you took the time to not only take all of those HM photos, but to post them all in your TR! What a Disney FORK you are!!!

:woohoo: for a trip right around the corner! Can't believe an OCD planner like you still has plans up in the air! :confused3 I thought you would know where you are every minute of your trip! But then it can get really hot and sticky :scared: at Disney around July 4th, so probably best to leave things a little more flexible!

I hope you have a really special trip! I know you have been like me lately with a busy schedule and lots of hours at work! You definitely deserve a break to relax and enjoy! Driving this trip should be interesting for you. I guess you will be on your own schedule so maybe the ride there and back will go smoothly! Don't be picking up any hitchhikers along the way! Well, unless you found them in your Doombuggy at HM.......... :rotfl2:

Congratulations to Chris! Even though it sounds like a really interesting time for you with everyone there for the graduation........

I am probably getting out of town 2 weeks from today!!!! Couple of days relaxing at the beach as a pit stop and then on to Disney. :cool1:

I have really gone to planning a MUST do List instead of a minute by minute plan.

I will pack for hot and sticky. Laundry may be a must this trip. Lots of cool summer dresses and extras of everything so mid day changes can be made out of hot and sticky clothes.

I always go into a trip with some high expectations and that is what sometimes leads to my snit. This trip will focus a bit on the Fourth of July festivities that are unique to this trip. All the new stuff will get a look see and depending on weather - hopefully some long afternoon naps during the heat of the day. Pool Time also will be a must.

Driving by myself is not always fun but good tunes and maybe a hands free phone call or two can help to pass the time.
I think I may drive to Ak and MK when I hit that park in the am so I can get back quick since I know busses mid afternoon can be a bear and then use transporation back at night. I guess If I end up at MK at night I should drive back too since I wont be drinking in MK. :lmao:
Being I can get to not use a bus to 2 parks and can work it for a third, car may not be used too much.

If I see any of the ghosts along the side of the road I will NOT be picking them up. If I see any cuties on the side of the road.... who knows. :rolleyes1:

Congratulations to Chris! Even though it sounds like a really interesting time for you with everyone there for the graduation........

Yes the first major event after the divorce was interesting. My mother is not really fit to travel so they stayed home but All of his side of the family came down.

Some really interesting things were discovered, :scared: but I did get to catch up for a while with my ExSIL, talk a short bit with my ExBIL, ExFIL and his wife. Kind of hard not to see them since we have know each other for over 20 years. I tried to make it easy and I think I succeeded.
I did make sure to wear something special and got a couple of comments on that too. :)

Making my way over to the Beach Club.

The bathroom- see the waves???

At this point were in the Beach Club Lobby. We had an ADR for 7:15pm. The way I was feeling and as antsy as Chris was there was probably NO way we would make it another 3 hours.

I have always said Chris is an “old soul”. The boy will eat dinner at 4:30 if I let him. He always likes to eat early, he will have a snack later, but just like an old man he likes to eat early.

I see some CMs by the Cape May Podium. I figure it is worth a shot so I walk up and ask if here is any way we could be seated early, like soon, for our ADR. The CM looks and says because they are opening soon, SURE!!!!
He asks me to wait just a few minutes and he will give me a buzzer.
By 4:25pm we are here.

WARNING: If you are hungry go grab a snack now….

Times up - I present the Cape May Buffet...

Now these little beauties were not listed. Mystery dessert

The inside of the Oreo Bonbon

IMG_3631.jpg

While Chris had his eye on the crab legs, I started with the clam chowder. The clam chowder had a very heavy celery taste. So much so that 1 taste is all I had. By this point I knew I really had to avoid, when possible all the things I was allergic to.

If you look through the pictures and then go back to see my list you will see many, many things contain at least something I am allergic to. I found enough to eat and then made my way to dessert.

The mystery dessert looked good but I did have to ask someone what it was since it was not listed.

A chef came out and told me what I guessed. Chocolate cake on the bottom , then Chocolate mousse, chocolate, strawberry cheesecake , and topped with chocolate. Then he told us they were leftover from a Fireworks cruise. YUM. Yes even the leftovers were delicious.

After dinner the Beach Club Carousel was calling....::yes::
