When does your school start?

We have to wait on our county fair so it won't be until August 24th here. I love my kids but they are driving me crazy!!!!

August 8th for K-12 here. And this is 5 days later than last year School got out May 19th.

DS college classes start Aug 22nd

Next year school will get out May 23rd and not start back until the 3rd Monday of August--new law

We start back the Thursday after labor day. I think it's the 7th. We got out 6/18. There isn't a full week of school until October because of the Jewish holidays and teacher inservice.

Aug 15. School finishes on the Friday before Memorial Day.

my kids are home-schooled. we are starting next Monday because we want to get done earlier. we are hoping to take a trip to California next May, so we want to finish school before we leave.

K-12 in my district and all the surrounding districts start next Monday, August 6. Our district has 3 weeks at the Christmas break and so end the Friday before Memorial Day, May 24. The schools that have only 2 weeks then end May 17.

Wow, when does your summer vacation start?

We go back the Tuesday after Labor Day, I think its the 4th this year.

Thursday, August 30th - it's ALWAYS the Wednesday or Thursday before labor Day around here and almost everyone hates it. Why not just wait till after Labor Day? We get out next year on June 6th.

We get such lovely weather at the beginning of September, and such awful weather at the beginning of June, that most parents in this area would like to see school start in late September and get out in late June.

My boys start on August 20. Guess that's my first day of school also, I got a job as a secretary at their school. I started there last week, but it's quiet without the students.
