When does your school let out?

Our normal last day of school is June 12th. We have to make up every other day missed due to cold or snow. It is looking like June 17 or 18 at this point but we are expecting another storm.

I'm going try not to knock any of my students over as race out of the building. As soon as I turn in my keys and folders, I'm going straight to JFK.

I heard THAT! School is out for us on June 5th but we have a teacher work day scheduled on the 6th. I plan to be on an early plane to MCO on June 7th. I really need this vacation as it will have been 4 stressful years since I've been to WDW.

Long Island here. Our scheduled last day is June 27th with no days tacked onto the end. It seems compared to some, we are one of the latest to end the school year. Out of curiosity, when do you go back to school in September?

We go back the day after labor day, so we'll be enjoying the kids last week of freedom at Disney.

We go back the Wednesday right after Labor Day, I believe Sept 3rd. We'll be in Orlando until either the 28th or 29th (haven't decided which day to come home yet. Depends on SWA flights coming out the beginning of March)

Our last scheduled day is May 29, but we have 2 student days and 1 professional development day that our district has not decided how to make up. It is pretty definite we won't lose any of the days from Spring Break (March 24 - 28 this year but is a set week each year as determined by state law), but we the other options are Good Friday, Memorial Day, or start tacking on days at the end. We start back on the Monday of the week containing August 19, where a week is defined as a 7 calendar day beginning on Sunday and ending on Saturday. (State law. I've spent a couple of years helping design the district calendars. ) So we'll start back on August 18 this year.

Our last day was suppose to be May 29, but they are now up to June 6, plus make-up days that were already added in. I hope they don't miss anymore because graduation is June 6, and they have said they will change it if they have anymore make-up days. I have a graduation party planned for June 7, and hate to have the party before the event!

We have had a terrible winter the most cancelled days I can remember 7 so far.

Were from Pa and we were getting out June 5 but now its the 9th, they are taking away 5 scheduled days off including all of Easter break.

I planned our trip for June 6 so I called our school about my son missing the final few days and they said it is fine since we have our flights and tripped booked, the last 3 are half days and all the testing and grades will already be done.

The bright side it could be less crowded the first 2 weeks of June.

So when does your school let out now?

I am in Bucks County PA and our original last school day was pretty late already, June 17th, but they have extended it to the 24th. We leave for Disney on the 20th and since that's a Friday and the 24th is a half day, our plans aren't changing!
Have you been in June before? The first 2 weeks are less crowded than the last 2 for sure! You'll have a great time!

On paper it's May 23. However I expect them to go through at least May 30 due to snow days.

My kids started school August 21 and have no Spring Break. I prefer that b/c honestly most of the time it's still cold anyway during normal Spring Break times. I'd much rather the kids get out the end of May.

Truthfully I've lost track of how many snow days they've taken. They haven't had a full week of school since before Christmas - there has been at least a 2 hour delay if not multiple full snow days every single week!

I'm in Michigan. We are currently scheduled to be finished on June 6, but have had 8 snow days (school allots 6 days per year) so we may need to make up two days. They haven't announced anything yet, but will hopefully soon! I know other area schools are now saying June 13.

May 15th was supposed to be our last day, but now we are at May 21st. However, my kiddos will now be missing the last few days of school so we can arrive at Disney on May 18th.

NYC public schools get out on June 26. It's a half day. My school dismisses at 11:45.

Sorry you are right it is two business days before the last day of June. We get out at 12. My daughter is graduating from HS at 1 so I will be running out too.

May 30 so far. When I planned for vacation, I picked SW flights that were the cheapest and that was 6/3-6/10. That allowed for 5 snow days. We have had 3.5 so far (the 1/2 being today). So we can only have 1.5 more before it affects our vacation. The kids don't mind missing the end. There are HS choir kids going to NYC 5/31-6/3 so if they take any tests early DD15 can probably do the same.

OR, since I booked with SW points it would be workable to change our flights, but other days are just not as good.

We make up every snow day at the end. But next year they say we will be counting by hours and have extra ones automatically in the schedule, so maybe won't have to make up anything. That will be great.
