When does your neighborhood start booing?

Booing in my neighborhood usually starts up when a few people have put up decorations and the "mood" of the neighborhood changes from summer to fall.

Haven't seen any yet, but I'm sure there's somebody fancy-ing up the old photocopied ghost pic and getting ready. Our version includes booing 2 other houses that have not already been done, so the idea spreads faster.

I don't mind participating if the kids want to, after all, who wants to be the only kid on the bus without a ghost on their front door?

Anytime now...and I'm getting prepared. I've already bought several Halloween items for the neighbors I will "Boo".

Heck, I put up my Halloween decorations a week ago already. I loooove holiday decorating. :goodvibes

However, I don't live in the type of neighborhood that would 'Boo'.

Football season started three weeks ago... that's when the booing starts :rotfl: Luckily this year, we're booing the other team and not our own. (I don't boo my own team, but plenty of people around here do.)

Thank you! (and I'm so sorry I never came back and answered what booing is, I posted this thread and then totally forgot! Lame!)

Here is a link to a free printable for booing (I believe this site was created by a diser...but I don't remember where I read that now, so I could be wrong)

And for those who don't want more candy, you don't have to do candy. I usually make orange and black playdough and give a few halloween cookie cutters if there are toddlers or preschoolers in the house, and for older kids we do don't eat Casper (which does include a bag of m&m's) or Halloween bingo.
Here are links to the free printables I use for don't eat Casper.

I think we are going to start it this weekend! I've seen lots of people putting out their decorations, so I guess that means they are in the mood for fall and Halloween right?
Thanks again!

Ha ha!!

LOL, someone earlier in the thread said their friend was considering starting an adult version called "boozing"!

some of us moms have also been known to do this version for each other. I even have a printable poem for it just like the kids version!!!!

Back to the booing..luckily we don't do that. I never heard of it until I read it here.

Really? Oh please share!!
How do you get it to the recipient with out them knowing? Do you ding dong ditch it just like the kids treats? With my luck nobody would come to the door and the kids would find it on their way out to school the next day. Nothing ends a friendship quite like giving someones 5 year old a bottle of rum! LOL!
