When does the last bus leave AK after closing?

I just made a PS for RFC for 4:30 pm on Friday, Oct. 8th.
The park is schueduled to close at 5:00 pm on that day.
I have read somewhere on these boards, but not cannot find the thread, the Resort buses run for a full 2 hours after AK closing.
Can anyone confirm this for me?

Yes, the busses run to the resorts for about 2 hours after closing. After that, there will be bus service from AK to the resorts specifically for RFC until it closes. It may be a shared bus among a few resorts like (if there are only 10 people waiting for the busses, one bus comes and picks EVERYBODY up and delivers them to their particular resort

There will also be park to park busses running (for those that park at AK and hop to another park) until the other parks close.

I called WDW, and they also explained about the "shuttle" bus to the resorts if we miss the last bus.
I have now changed our PS to 5:00 pm based on this information so we won't have to rush after viewing the parade.

For all four theme parks, and both water parks, buses will run until each theme park is clear of all guests.

After Animal Kingdom is cleared of all day guests, regular service will be replaced by "Rainforest Buses"... these buses run until the Rainforest is clear, and will take you back to your resort.


LOL -- I just realized I hit 4000 posts, and didn't even know it... woo hoo

(On second thought, perhaps that's a sign I spend too much time on these boards!! lol)

I changed our PS to 5:00 pm based on this new information. This way we won't be rushing to our PS after the parade. I think the 5:00 pm PS will give us plenty of time to make it to RFC after the parade, and knowing we will not be left stranded if our PS runs later than we expected helps!
