I've heard that during the holidays they turn on the snow machine at MK. Does anyone know when they start doing that and at what times?

We see plenty of snow up north, but I'm sure it'll be totally different seeing the castle get snowed on.:)

Thanks:earsboy:

To my knowledge, there is only snow at the MK during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

It does not happen that way.

They sometimes have "snow" on Main Street during MVMCP. One year they used bubbles.

They also have it for the Osbourne Lights, but alas that is not on display this year. AHHHHHHHH!!!!

*sob* I'm gonna MISS the spectacle of lights! :( I have never attended a MVMCP, but HAVE seen it snow on main street, for about 10 minutes out of every hour. There is nothing like a Disney snow. Just don't play 'catch a snowflake with your tongue!' :teeth:

So I take it it's fake snow? Like the plastic stuff they use in movies? Those things are so hard to take out of your hair.

Our last day at WDW is on 11/28 - the first day of Candlight Processional. Do you think I might see snow then or do they just do that in Dec or when there is MVMCP?

Last yr. we were there for MVMCP and it "snowed" on Main St. But it wasn't the plastic stuff...it was more like little micro soapy bubbles.

It was amazing though...I can't wait to see it again.:lovestruc

I'm not sure when they start the snow...but I'm sure its during MVMCP...I'm not sure if its before though.

Hope this helps...ENJOY!!!

It snows on Main street, and not just for the MVMCP. The 4 times we have been there during christmas time (between Thanksgiving and Dec. 23) we have seen the 'snow' each time. Its the bubble-type snow. the look on my 4 y.o.'s face when she 'caught' that first disney snowflake on her tongue is priceless.

HOWEVER....

It does snowin the Marketplace at Celebration. It's right outside of WDW; it's the little "planned" town that Disney had a hand in. In October, the "leaves fell" a few nights...something that obviously doesn't happen in Florida like it does up north. The link for that info is here: http://www.celebrationfl.com/Events 2003/Fall Fest/big flyer/Fall Festival.htm

Keep checking Celebration's website...they should have something about the snow soon.
