When does Interval refund the charge?

Apparently our hopes to go to Hawaii this fall through II have failed. When can we expect our $75 fee to be refunded (or do we have to ask for it)?

We are disappointed in the exchange program - I know Hawaii is popular, but we are 2 adults only and gave II a range of 6 different weeks and 3 different resorts on Maui in Sept/Oct 15 months ago. II rep said with those options, our chances were excellent. On the plus side, we're going back to WDW instead!

Could you hang on longer? If so, there will likely be options come up at 60 days out. I always preach being flexible for HI, esp for Maui. I'm not sure that listing the Embassy, Marriott and Westin is truly being flexible even if you give them the entire year but those are the only resorts I would list. And searching 1.5 years out is the appropriate approach. Did you by chance have a request for a 2 BR? That would reduce your chances dramatically.

I doubt you ever spoke to an II rep, DVC has direct access to the II system using their own people. I'd expect you'll see a refund on your next CC statement assuming you used a CC initially. They should refund it automatically.

I'm surprised you were offered nothing for a 1 BR for that time during the time of year you listed and given that you requested 15 months out. I've personally seen 1 BR weeks online for the Maui Marriott during that period though it was with a Marriott to Marriott search.
