When Does "Happiest Celebration on Earth" End?

I've read conflicting info on whether it's a "17-month" or "18-month" celebration. We're planning a trip for October '06 and were hoping to see the Castle all decorated. But now I'm reading things like all the special Celebration offers for the Disney Visa are ending 9/30/06, which leads me to believe that that's when things end.

I emailed Disney but they were characteristically vague in their reply.

Anyone know anything definite?

It does end just after the Summer of 2006.

Oct. 2006 should be the 35th anniv. of WDW

Hmmmm...hadn't thought of the 35th anniversary thing .... I know I'm just being silly, but I really wanted to see the Castle all decorated! Don't suppose they'd leave it that way for the 35th, do ya?
