When does Electrical Parade Start for Summer

Does anyone know when the electrical parade starts its run for the summer season? We are thinking about going in June and we wanted to go early in the month for lower crowds but I would really like to catch the parade. Thanks!

Not sure, but do know they did run it the first week of June just on the weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun).

Not sure exactly either, but when we were there last year in May it was running, but only on weekends.

Depending on which "rumor mill" you read on this parade, it could be back this summer or not until 2010....... It sounds like they're updating & possibly removing parts & adding new ones, but again I've only been reading those things. Maybe you could call DL & inquire....sometimes the CM's can be quite enlightening on those things....

Based on previous years, it's likely that Disney's Electrical Parade (DEP) would start to be shown nightly for the summer starting on Friday, June 12, 2009. Prior to that date, like the previous posters mentioned, the DEP would be shown on Fri Sat Sun.

Here is some information about the Electrical Parade (DEP) in DCA:

Jan: Not shown after Christmas/New Year's
Feb: Not shown
Spring Break: Shown nightly
March: Shown Fri, Sat, Sun
April: Shown Fri, Sat, Sun
May & early June: Shown Fri, Sat, Sun
Summer: Shown nightly (early June to late August)
Sept: Not shown after Labor Day
Oct: Not shown
Nov & early Dec: Not shown
Christmas Week / New Year's: Shown nightly (late Dec to early Jan)

Thanks Everyone!!! You all gave great info!~ Sounds like the best bet to catch it (if it is done being updated) is in the second-half of June with a weekend stay. Thanks for the links! Cant wait to see if Disney brings out the parade in June with the updates. My kids would love to see tinkerbell led the parade out!
