When does Disney stop changing park hours and show times?

I am getting so frustrated. We leave in less than 30 days and we had a ton of ADR's planned. I was able to get FP around those times for the most part 60 days out. Then ROL came out afterwards, I had to go back in and move a ton of things around. I booked an ROL package with a 10:50am Tusker House breakfast. We moved the FP to DHS in the afternoon since we will be in AK in morning for EMH and then back again in the evening. At the time of the package reservation 10 days ago, ROL was 8:45pm show and AK was closing at 9pm. I just happen to check something and saw AK is now closing 8pm that day now. I clicked on the day and it shows ROL is now 7:15pm!!! I was never sent any info saying this had changed and now my last 2 FP from DHS will not work. I tried to change them to earlier and there is no availability.

I am getting so fed up with having to preplan everything but Disney continues to change things without notice. I understand ROL was a recent addition but deciding to close a park earlier and making a show 1.5hrs earlier with no memo to those with timed packages?

Is there a chance they will go back to the regular time? Is it an error? I am wondering what the point of closing on a Saturday earlier than before now is? The sun doesn't even set until 7:40pm at the end of March. Why is the show taking place before sunset?

Basically they don't until the day of. I've even been in a park when they decided to add an hour and didn't say anything. They just figured those who would take advantage of the extra hour would just not leave the park until they were told to and those who were leaving before park closing would leave if it changes or not.

Adding park hours is one thing. That benefits everyone. Taking away park hours and changing a time of a show to 1.5 hours earlier is another, especially for people who are getting dinner for their ROL package.

It could be a glitch. I took a guess on what day but the two Saturdays in March that are after the date in your signature are at 8:45. I see the 4th and 11th are at 7:15 though.

Ummmm never! I too have been in a park in the morning and entered another park for the afternoon and early dinner with plans to return to first park (DHS) for Fantasmic to come back to find Fantasmic almost over and the park closing! Needless to say I was pretty angry! Their response was well we announced it this afternoon which of course did not help me since we were in another park.

It is March 25th. Closing at 8pm. ROL at 7:15pm per the Calendar on Disney right now. I hope it is a glitch.

Wow - that sucks! I feel like this would have happened to me if I didn't happen to notice the park closing time changed.

That stinks. I am surprised you didn't get any type of notification. I know when rides we have had FP for are down,(this has happened more than once) we have gotten emails and/or alerts about it so we can plan as best possible or see a CM in the park to help us reschedule as they can get you on the headliners you may not get on your own (if it was Disney's fault, at least). Hope it works out, it is frustrating!

You checked on the actual ROL page? It's showing up as 8:45 on the calendar right now.

Yes and I just refreshed and it is now showing 9pm. Ugh! I am so glad I didn't start changing things. I know it was at 8pm an hour ago. That is so weird!

Everything at Disney is subject to that particular day. There could be lots of things going on that will make a show time (whatever show) change or be cancelled or postponed. I don't think Disney plays around with the schedule on purpose but the opposite - to try and give the best performance and that might not be determined until that particular day. I know that sounds apologetic and it's a nightmare for planners (I am one) but it's not something I concern myself with since I know I can just work around it.
