When does Disney start allowing package bookings for 2007?

Last year packages came out in August. You can book a room only now and then convert it to a package when they come out.

The packages did come out on June 30th last year because I wrote it down on my calendar. I just wish Disney would hurry it up!!!

It was June 30 through CRO, and then July 2 through the web site, as far as I recall.

How do you know it will be August? Everyone says June 30 last year, and I for 2005 I know for a fact we booked by beg July!

I am also being told it will likely be around August (or possibly very late July) before they have the 2007 packages ready to book. They are still determining what is going to be offered and doing programming (again, that is what the current information is at this time, but it is subject to change.)

what I don't understand is yhe ppl who have trips jan. 1st 2007 can make ADR's etc. on July 1st, so you would think they would have to be out by then. I can make my ADR's 2nd week of July and I will not be a happy camper if the information is not out yet for me to book!

Does anyone know if when they announce the 2007 packages do they also announce free dining? That is if they are going to do it again. It just so happens that I vacation at the same time of year, just about every year, and it coincides with free dining.

I suspect the making of ADRs isn't considered a top priority for the average guest (remember: we're all above average, here on the DIS), so there is probably little linkage between when rates are released and when folks can start making ADRs.

I'm hoping for free dining next year too!! I think it was announced this year right around April 1 because some people (myself included ) seemed shocked that they were repeating a promotion and wondered if it was an April Fool's joke...

I'm so bummed! I just called tonight to ask for 2007 packages, and she did say at least Aug!! maybe the end of!!! This is so un Disney and really sucks.
