When does 14 day ticket expire?

If you have a 14 day ticket and use it on the first night of your holiday, when does it expire?

If you are staying 14 nights then your leaving day would be day 15, so is the ticket still useable?

You need to decide if you want to use on your 1st evening or last morning for a standard 2 week holiday(leave same day you arrive) a 14 day ticket doesn't cover both.

What time does your flight come in on your arrival day and what time do you fly out on departure? You can use this, together with park hours, to assess which is the best value for you. It usually turns out that departure day is the best option and the most practical as well.

we typically use it the first night and not the last day - as we're too busy getting ready to leave on the last day..
if we have time on that last day, we go to DTD....

and even though we usually only get a half day, or even just an evening when we use it on our arrival day, it's an important day for us to visit the parks (first night is always MK)..

This is exactly what we thought for a long time and after many trips, but we checked with guest services in DTD and at Epcot last August and the tickets actually expire 14 days after the first use, so in effect you are getting 15 days usage, you will be able to use the ticket on you 1st day and last day of a 14 day holiday.

They have always been valid for 14 consecutive days only - maybe things have changed & they should change the name to a 15 day ticket

Never heard that before Peter, would come in handy for our trip in August though if thats the case. We have 21 days tix but there for 23 nights, we expected our last full day without ticket but if you are correct we would gain entry.
I will check and ask but can't see how we can get 22 days out of a 21 day tickets, surely they would call it a 22 day ticket

We didn't think that we could use our tickets Wayne, but Guest services at both DTD and in Epcot confirmed that the tickets are valid 7 or 14 or 21 days after first use, I think if you look on the back of the tickets it actually says this.

We only checked our tickets out because we were there for longer than 14 days and forgot which day we first used the ticket, the guest services informed us when we first used the tickets and told us the date that they expired and that was a 15 day period.

All these years we have missed an extra day in Disney

Never hurts to ask. May be worth checking the exact terminology on the conditions: From and After are not the same. Just goes to show how well we read sometimes - I have never even looked. I just assumed. Maybe someone can try and let us know. And to think I added an extra night for this year so we could have a full day on our last/first day's park entry instead of leaving at lunch time to check out and get the ME ......

We have used our ticket on first night, and on last day we tried to enter park but found ticket had run out. We went to guests services who explained that it had ran out but they did give us free entry for the day

Then you are still only using 14 days, but over a 15 day period.

This was my understanding too Torsie. Does it say 'From' or 'After' the first day of use? Sorry I haven't actually gone to look at the Ts&Cs since posting on here, but you should find that therein lies the answer - or not

That would say you can use it for 14 days - not 15.

Then in the small print:

Might be important as we are thinking of getting DD a 14 day ticket is September and not buying her an AP till next year so we get 3 trips out of it.

Logically I don't see how a 14 day ticket can give you access for 15 days so I am still persuaded to stick to what I have always assumed was the case, which is as you have noted above.

If you buy MYW tickets and you get a 1 day ticket, you can't use it the next day.

While I accept that Disney CMs do occasionally spread some pixie dust, I think allowing an additional day is an 'act of magic' not official policy.

If you were visiting in peak times and say MK was open for EMH until 3 am the day you arrived you could work it so that you slept a few hours after check in and headed out to MK just past midnight if you were a resort guest. The date would click in as the next day and give you 3 hours. Just a thought - but who in their right mind would want to do that after a 9 hour flight?! Anyway, who would even think up such a plan?

Sorry, that won't work. The EMH hours are part of the previous day's hours even if you enter the park for the first time a few minutes after midnight so it would use up one day on your ticket.

Later, that day when you enter a park you would be using your second day's entry.
