When do your kids go back to school for 2009-2010 school year?

Just wondering with the late Labor Day (9/7) how many kids go back early next fall...

Louisiana here! Just received the new calender our kids go back Aug 13, 2009. North of New Orleans - East of Baton Rouge. I'm sure New Orleans will go back two weeks later.

We go back the day after Labor Day, as always. With Labor Day being that late, I'm thinking that'll be a good week for us to travel. Probably not Disney, since we've already got trips booked for May & Dec, but maybe somewhere along the Atlantic coast.

Somewhere around August 14th here in Nebraska...I would love to have him go back after Labor day! When do you guys usually get out for summer? DS is out May 21st this year.

Our last day of school is 6/26 and as posted earlier we go back on 9/9....(Long Island, NY)

I live in MA and we usually go back to school the Wed after Labor day but seeing that it's late this year they have decided to start school 9/1 (Tuesday) before Labor Day.

Not sure for CT. Does anybody know about CT or RI? We are going the week of LAbor Day but are concerned that school starts that week. I noticed that if there are early Parent-Teacher conferences that school will usually start the last week of August which is what I am hoping for since we have conferences this week(Groton area). My sister is supposed to come but lives in RI and won't if the first day comes the week we are going.

Depends on what region in Ontario,Canada you live in. Schools in Ottawa are going back August 31st. But the schools just North of Toronto are going back the day after Labour Day.
