When do you think they will be taking reservations for BCV?

I just read that BCV is scheduled to open in Sept. 2002. We go every November, with our home resort being BWV. We would like to stay at BCV when we go in 2002, if possible. How does Disney work this when there is a target date of the opening of a resort, but no guarantee of it being completed in time? Also, does member services put you on a wait list and call if the desired hotel will be ready in time?

How it will work for BCV is unknown. As to VWL, it opened mid-Nov 2000. You could call and make cash reservations for Nov and after through CRO as early as June 2000 (and it was possibly earlier). You could not buy points until Jan 14, 2001. They allowed you to call and reserve with points from other resorts beginning in Nov 2000 for stays beginning after Jan 14, 2001. There have been rumors that they might pre-sell points at BCV before it opens but no real date is attached to those rumors, and at this point it is only rumor.

SlyHubby, Just wanted to confirm, your guide says you are on some list that will assure you will get to purchase at $75 per point? I have been talking with my guide on and off for about 6 months regarding the BCV and told him to contact me the minute I can purchase BCV, he never mentioned to me anything about a list for $75 per point.

Any purchase at BCV will most likely be at the price DVC sets at the time. Since there is currently NO information about sales at BCV, there can be no price guarantee for the "possibility" of any presales.

Slyhubby, thanks for clearing that up. Sorry I mis-read that! Its a good thing I hadn't called my guide yet, I would have sounded pretty silly! It must have been wishful thinking!
