When do you take Christmas decorations down?

Weekend after Epiphany unless it falls on a weekend. This year January 7th and probably the 8th. They aren't put up in a day and won't come down in one day either. We may leave a few out to Candlemas but we have live trees and they won't hold up that long.

I normally do it on NY day but we were out of town from Tuesday after Christmas until about 5:30 today. I'll take it all down sometime later this week but don't really know when. I like looking at the lights on the tree so I might take the stockings and wreaths down tom. and leave the tree for another day or two.

I put up day after Thanksgiving and take down everything the day after Christmas.

One year, we were going to Disney the day after Christmas with the kids, they were in HS and college, and we took it down Christmas night. I did NOT want to come home from vacation and deal with it.

Started on January 2nd. Should be done in the next week. We put things up Thanksgiving weekend. We hosted a family party the 1st weekend in December .

Did my village today. Next up is the Christmas dishes. Might do that tomorrow night if I have time after work. I also have to clean and put back out the stuff I put away while the Christmas decor was out. I would like for my whole house to be back together by Saturday evening. Only exception would be the outside lights and wreaths as DH handles that and it must be dry and fairly warm.

The weekend after New Years. So it'll be the 7th or 8th for us. I love New Years because no family commitments and we don't go out, so it is nice to just chill and finally relax. I don't want to add the chore of putting away decorations then.

Depends on how Christmasy I am feeling that season, and how much time I’ve actually had to just sit and enjoy the tree.

I usually will want to have at least one night where I fall asleep on the couch with the tree lit & Christmas music playing softly.

There have been years when the decor does not come down until end of January.

There’s been a year or two where I’ve spent most free time at my parents, and so never put up a tree, just random Christmas decor around the house!

This year, I only put up a tiny tree in the pass thru between kitchen & hallway, replaced all the objets in my dining room cabinet w/ Christmas decor, and then my Christmas cards are hung along the main hallway…. Oh! And a poinsettia & a reindeer in the Living Room!
…. might be a week or more before I see fit to take those down! (Lol, and here in the Kitchen, I realize there’s a Christmas tablecloth in place, and my dishtowels, oven mitts, potholders, paper napkins are all Christmas as well!)

Normally New Years Day. Most of the stuff is down now. Still have to do outside.
