When do you start packing?

I am totally packed.

in my dreams.

Usually I set things out early....this trip I am packing very slowww!
Even my homemade autograph books arnt finished. I have LOTS of work to do this weekend.

16 more sleeps and my two big suitcases are staring at me everyday, challenging me to make a start!

From what I have read L.A weather could be hot...or could be chilly. Could be wet...or could be dry.

I can't pack too much heavy stuff as we have 2 cases between four of us (and my two kids aren't little anymore, they are in adult clothes!).

Made all the more difficult because we're staying in a hotel for 10 days and it has no DIY laundry facilities We've never stayed in a hotel for longer than one night!

I'm usually 80% packed by now but this time I have no idea what to pack.

On the plus side...if I underpack and we get cold that could necessitate a bit of retail therapy at a mall or two

I am just about to get out the suitcases and start packing. I've been gathering odds and ends for about a month now and making lists, but now the packing begins in earnest. So excited!

As soon as I know I'm going! LOL! Which was a problem last month as I had started putting stuff in the little carryon suitcase I use and then I realized I needed that suitcase for a weekend trip BEFORE my Disney trip. Oops.... Guess we know which trip I was more excited about, huh?

The suitcases still need to be pulled out, we just got a new puppy, so I'm not sure how she will react to that.

If it's a new puppy, she probably won't have much of a reaction because they don't mean anything to her yet. Once she associates them with you leaving, THEN she will have a reaction. My cat was not a fan of seeing the suitcase get put on the bed....

That makes total sense...she didn't do anything, she looked at me...and then was back to her lion to chew on. LOL.

My apartment is small though, so the spots I would normally leave them in to pack are now occupied by the puppy bed and crate...so they are sitting on top of the crate now. LOL.

I'm just glad my Dad can puppy-sit. Our Lilly and his Baxter are going to have a ton of fun. His cat Chloe will keep them in line I am sure.
