When Do You Start Packing?

I leave for WDW next Saturday, and really want to bring up my suitcase and start packing right this moment. I'll probably wait until this Sunday, though.

How early (or late) do you bring out your suitcase and start packing?

I dedicate the dining room table as storage a week or two before. As I am running around and notice a charger that I will need I pull it and put it in the "must go" pile. So you could say I start about two weeks early.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one... my bedroom closet has become my dedicated storage area for about a week now, although nothing is "officially" packed, some of it is there and ready to go!

Quite honestly usually the night before! I usually make a list though so I don't foget anything.

I made a list a couple weeks ahead of time last year but packed the night before due to my dh's "It won't take long babe".

Boy was he wrong. I was up til 2am when we should have been leaving the house at 4am foir the airport. I will NEVER do that again. :rotfl:

Hummmm is it ever to soon to start packing??? We aren't going till May and I already have that stash growing... thought about putting it in the new bags, but that would be pushing it! I have started getting together the extras... such as new little toys for the kids on the plane, stickers... also some other stuff as well... you can never start to soon I say! Although my 9 year old said that she was going to pack all her shorts and swimsuit now so she would be ready to go... I didn't let her, who knows if the shorts will still fit in 4 months!:yay:

I sure can't do the night before thing. I did it once and never again... I was up until midnight to get up at four to leave for the airport!

Actually the suitcase never gets completely unpacked from the trip before as there are certain things I just leave there for the next trip. As for adding to it for the upcoming trip, I say a week or two before, depending on when I get to Harmon for the trial size stuff, that usually prompts me.

What's Harmon? Is that some sort of travel store?

:confused3

We're also leaving a week from Saturday (1-20) and I've started laying things in the spare room. I've washed all the clothes were taking, will iron tomorrow. I have a pile of travel samples, maybe needed meds(imodium, pepto bismol, etc), rain ponchos, backback ready to go. But I don't have the suitcases out yet.

I'm hoping the weather stays nice and warm.

And I am already packed and ready to go!:thumbsup2 Been packed since my trip in Dec. everything gets washed and packed back IN the suitcase.;)

We leave for WDW tomorrow night. I have just started packing. I am usually far more organized than this ... but life has been so crazy lately that it's last minute this time around! I should be packing now but had to take a breather!
