. My dd (3) really needed some new things to take on vacatoion because a lot of the things that I bought in the Spring and early Summer are either getting short or they are stained from playing in them. So I caught one of Old Navy's sale and bought her a bunch of bottoms, tops, and new underwear and I went ahead and packed them. I had to restock on toiletries for home, so I went to Sams Club and bought shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, etc in packs of 2 and 3's and went ahead and put the extra things in our toiletry bag. We drive, so I just buy and bring the larger bottles and then just bring them home with us afterwards. My dh and I also caught the Old Navy Sale and we bougth some new shirts to take with us and I found a new bathing suit and all of that stuff is already in suitcases as well. I figure that it all had to be put away, so why not go ahead and pack it now and get it out of the way.

A week prior.....I do all the packing for everyone except teenage dd. Plus we can pack our shorts and stuff before our trip because where we live we aren't wearing shorts anymore anyway. We pretty much wear matching shirts everyday....so again we can pack those and not have to worry about needing them here at home.
I buy them all new socks prior to our trip, so they are nice and thick and soft.....socks wear out quickly around here and start getting thin.
We can usually pack our Crocs too, by October we're wearing warmer shoes in Georgia
Our park stuff is in our Disney bag all year. Things like our spritzer fans, pressed penny tubes, travel hamper, travel bag, ponchos....etc. When we get home we just pack it all in our WDW rolling duffel and put it in the back of the closet so it's ready for the next year.
We will be there about the same time as you and in KY we are still wearing summer clothes. I wore shorts last Halloween in KY. I hope it stays warm in KY like it did last year.
Were in WV and last Halloween we were in shorts/flip flops trick or treating with the kids. We usually have warm/hot weather until the end of October, but last year, it was still around 50 degrees on Christmas day. It has been unseasonably warm here in the Fall/early Winter the last few years.
Wasn't it wonderful?
Sorry to get off topic on your post GatorMama
I've just been buying extras here and there and throwing them in my toiletries bag so I don't have the morning of rush where I'm throwing in wet stuff from the shower.
