When do you start getting excited about an upcoming trip?

So what moment do you guys start to really get excited about your trip to Disneyland? When does it finally hit you that it’s happening?

For me it’s when I start checking the weather for Anaheim and my dates make it into the 14 day forecast. (Which they just did, January 30th through Feb 3rd)

I’m super pumped!!!

On my way home from the previous trip! Seriously- I spend the journey home planning the next trip.

About 3 weeks before. I spent yesterday filling my tiny shampoo/conditioner bottles and packing little toothpaste and other things for my carry on bag. DH just laughs at me, but it makes me happy.

I get excited right after I've booked the room. That makes it official and the countdown begins. I'm now at 41 days! The anticipation of a Disney trip is half the fun.

I really get excited when i buy the tickets. Then it’s done and real.

As soon as we book our flights and accommodations, the excitement begins. We usually plan our Disney trips many months out and I have a countdown app on my phone. And it’s even more exciting when I can book our dining reservations!

I’m orettt excited for our trip that is 447 days away. I’ll book it the moment packages for 2020 open. The kids are getting a countdown with their Easter baskets since we are going easter next year.

As soon as our visit is done. I’m already working on the next trip which seems to be sooner and sooner each time. We started in 08 then 13 , 16, 17, 18 twice. Now have a new trip planned for Oct at DL and can’t wait

For us it is when we book the flight. That’s the hardest thing to cancel. Then we start the countdown.

That's me too. Hotels are easy to cancel. I buy tickets at the gate (Military Salutes) so there's nothing to cancel there. But those airline tickets--that can be a pain to cancel and/or change, so that's my moment of "oh my goodness, start the countdown, I'm going to Disneyland!"

Flight for me as well; once the dates are cemented in with a flight I know it's happening.

Ha! Funny question! A friend and I have the same thing we've done ever since our kids were tiny!

I get super excited when my trip starts before the milk in my fridge expires! LOL. It's been a long standing joke between us and it makes it real! Like OMG, I'm leaving before the milk goes bad!!! So soon!

But my other reason is the same as a poster above stated. The minute the Anaheim weather shows up on my 10 day forecast, it's getting real!!!

So in other words, I'm already super excited for my trip next Wednesday! Just have to slog through EPCOT today for the first day of Festival of the Arts first!! Needless to say, it's not a super hard wait this week!

I am with you guys with the flights! Then it feels REAL! My DH also laughs at me because I get excited to fill up our travel sized shampoo and soap bottles! My BFF and I have been planning this trip since our last one and when we got our flights 2 weeks ago the excitement got turned up a few notches!

I'm fortunate to vacation every Spring and Fall. And I plan early. So with any vacation as soon as we decide where we are going...I'm excided. Making plans, buying stuff (had to get a new suitcase this time), checking on my packing list/s, making ressies, what am I going to wear, doing a spreadsheet......you get the picture. And doing the countdown.....71 days.....or 10 weeks.

We are still over a month away but I've already started packing my toiletry bag I am excited, but also a bit nervous. One reason I am starting to pack already is I really want to be prepared and organized. We are travelling with a four year old so I"m expecting the worse but hoping for the best.
