When do you start gathering things for WDW?

Since my 2.5 year old grows like a weed and can't fit into any of her last summer clothes, I have basically already bought her a new wardrobe for Disney :rotfl2: Not too mention, a few swimsuits. I can go ahead, pack her suitcase and she is ready to go.
We also started getting the "fun" stuff in the last couple months.....a new autograph book and pen, a couple of Disney Princess dresses, little Disney treats for the plane (books, sticker, etc.). Stuff for her to look at and really get excited. :lovestruc

I love getting things done in advance. It helps with the wait, gets the excitement going and it is easier when the trip gets closer.

I guess I'm one of those people you all don't understand! :rotfl: DW and I are going shopping on Wednesday and we leave on Thursday. We never seem to forget anything though. It is kind of strange, because I do a ton of pre-planning for the trip. I have lists in about 7 different places of all the things we need to bring, I just don't gather them until we're about to go. :)

We leave tomorrow night and I am ready.to.go!!! I started getting ready in early Jan. I had to do so on the down low because kids didn't think we were going until July. Since we are in OH I had them try on their spring/summer clothes to see what fit and I started buying clothes as I saw them-helps spread the money out this way also. I made our t-shirts at the end of Feb. with the help of some great DIS'ers designs. I made our autograph book cases, luggage tags and activity binders.

We only have 1 Disney store and it's on the other side of town from me so I don't go there often, but I found a lot of stuff at Family Dollar that I have picked up in the last week or so. I found cute plastic Disney lunch sacks with stickers at Kroger and I put the little gifts in there for the car trip.

I started buying snacks at Wal-mart and Kroger each week so I wouldn't have a huge grocery bill right before we left.

Only 25 hours to go and we'll be on the road heading to see the MOUSE!!!

I too have clothes put away with tags on them that I bought at the end of last season for trip and have been picking up little things for trip when I am out and see something we might need. Half of my kids stuff in their Easter Baskets is for the trip. So after Easter I will really start packing. Less than 4 weeks to go. Cant wait.:yay:

My people!!!:grouphug:

We're not going until Jan 2009, and just ask me how many things I've already picked up!!

My hubby thinks I'm nuts:snooty:

Hi there!,
I already bought my hawaiian shirt for the Luau at the Poly during our honeymoon in Sept!

Are you going on October 18??? That is when we are going too. Where are you staying? We are at the Grand Floridian.

immediately upon returning home from one trip! :)

seriously - once everything is washed and refilled, it goes back into the "disney only" luggage, and stored away til the next trip!

We're not leaving until 8-29 and I've already shopped for lightweight dresses for my DD, clothes for me and some toiletries.

I can't wait!

Another one here not going until May 2009...
I've already bought my park hoppers and put a copy in each suitcase (just in case).
I found some cute Disney nite lites at the dollar store... grabbed 6 and may go back for some of the others.
I have a few different lists going and too many sites bookmarked.
I went out and bought a laptop because the house (oh yeah, I rented the villa already too!) has wireless hookup... and the laptop had to have a card slot so I can take WAY too many pictures and be able to download them, share them with family members immediately, and go take more.
I am working any overtime offered, cuz I am going to need it.
I even tried to book our day at Discovery Cove and they told me to call back in a few months...:rotfl: because they only book out a year.:rotfl2:
Yep................. I'm obsessed! and I am having a blast :woohoo:

We don't leave for another 3weeks and I've done tons of shopping for everything under the sun; clothes, swim suits, flip-flops, Crocs, toiletries, DMYO messenger bag; you name it I've shopped for it. I'm treating myself next weekend by bringing out the suitcases to start to pack. I give myself the excuse that I have two little kids who can't pack for themselves and I want to ensure that nothing is forgotten or left behind.

T.

Great. Now I have something else to worry about!!

Can anyone give me a rundown/list of what I should be bringing? I have my own list, but I want to make sure I am not forgetting anything!

I booked our Sept. trip in January and immediately went on-line to buy wicking clothing.

I have ordered so many items off the Disney Shopping website....I can't stop.
I just saw the waist pouch I need to have.
I also want the messenger bag.....but wait....I want the headband too..

I started months ago.....and probably won't stop until I load the car up to head for the airport!

Call me crazy.....or just call me a Diser!

ok....so I ordered a TON of stuff from disney.com, they had $5 shipping on anything over $50 ( which I had!) then I think I got 25% off too!!! Today we went shopping, and I bought trial size body washes and shampoos!!! Yay!! I am so excited, I cannot wait to suprise my daughter, she really needs it! :lovestruc

As soon as I make any reservations I start to buy things for my trip. That way,I won't drive myself crazy waiting until the week before I go! :goofy:

today I bought my daughter an awesome suitcase for a carryon, it has wheels and is sparkly!! $10 at Homegoods, gotta love it!

I continuously gather things for disney trips! It doesn't start, it doesn't end!! :yay:
