Seriously... I'm going nuts here! I am so in need of that good Christmas spirit! :goodvibes I'm ready to put up the tree and all the Christmas decorations but everyone says I'm nuts for wanting to do so, so early. Christmas always just makes me feel so warm inside, and I'm ready to feel that again. Putting up the three, getting out the ornaments, stringing lights... YEAH! Bring it on!!

So when do you decorate for Christmas? Do you decorate for Thanksgiving first, or does it all go into a lumped holiday season for you?

the Day after Thanksgiving is when we officially start our Christmas season.
I realize that most retail stores don't find any profit in Thanksgiving so they want to go ahead and skip it, but for us, Thanksgiving is one of the most special times of the year.

My husband stays home the day after Thanksgiving and helps me decorate the house. He knows that's my day and I like to get everything done!

I've already started... 3 tree's up ao far and one village... :cheer2:
I hope to get another tree up this week-end..

I usually put my tree up 2 weeks before Christmas, so I have another month yet. I like to decorate a bit for Thanksgiving. I love fall colors!

We also start the day after Thanksgiving

I wait until Thanksgiving weekend..

When we were 1st married we decorated the weekend after Thanksgiving. Then the next year we decorated in the middle of November because we had a new house and were very excited. Needless to say, by the time Christmas rolled around, we were sick of all the decorations.

Last year we didn't even put up all the decorations. Mainly b/c my wife was pregnant at the time, so she didn't really feel like putting everything up.

This year, though, we've got to decorate for baby Gretchen!

Thanksgiving weekend usually but this year I might try to do it earlier as I'm having Thanksgiving dinner at my house. :)

This weekend we will take down the Halloween stuff and put up a few of the fall decorations we have. I will keep up my Halloween Dept 56 villages though, I just love the look of them when you turn the lights out. Then Thanksgiving weekend we will pull down all the Christmas and get started!!! I can't wait either! :goodvibes

I usually start Thanksgiving weekend and slowly but surely during the course of that next week, everything goes up. The trees are usually last.

Usually early December or if Thanksgiving is late, Thanksgiving weekend. I am considering putting lights up outside this weekend because it is supposed to be warm but I think I will wait.

I don't want to hear Christmas music or put up an decorations until the day after Thanksgiving.

I usually decorate for christmas the weekend of thanksgiving, but if I'm working that weekend I've done it the weekend before thanksgiving. This year, I may start earlier because I want to have my Christmas stuff out before my vacation 11/29. And I have a lot of decorations. I put most of my knick-knacks away and every room has many decorations.

I say anytime after Halloween is great. Have fun.

My upstairs X-Mas tree (in the living room no one is allowed to sit it  ) goes up the weekend before Thanksgiving (you can see this one from the street)

My downstairs one in the family room (people are allowed to sit in there :teeth: ) goes up the day after Thanksgiving.

Inside-I like to have everything good to go November first. I put up 4 trees. It is way to much work for only a few weeks.
Outside-We put it up during the month of November but don't turn it on until after Thanksgiving.

I usually decorate after Thanksgiving. If I decorated now I would be sick of all the decorations by the time Christmas came.

We just about missed holloween. Threw up sopmething the afternoon of the 31st. So we hope to box up the pumpkins this weekend so we can start on christmas stuff before dec 20th.
